In Defending “Transgenderism,” the Left Again Employs Scientism

In defending the hideously evil “transgender” agenda, the left frequently hails so-called “medical experts,” the “medical community,” “medical consensus,” and the like. In other words, we’re supposed to believe that men can become women, and vice versa, because the “expert class” has told us this is so. This is clearly the case in the recently decided Skrmetti case, where the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) upheld legislation from the state of Tennessee that protects children from medical mutilation in the name of “transgenderism.” 

Arguments from the left during the Skrmetti proceedings, and the left’s many complaints after SCOTUS’s 6-3 decision, often referred to the “expert class” as they tried to make their case for the absurd and evil idea that children could be subjected to heinous medical procedures in an ignorant and foolish attempt to change their sex. Thankfully, SCOTUS was having none of it, especially Justice Clarence Thomas.

In a separate, concurring opinion, Justice Thomas slams the left’s so-called “expert class.” Thomas writes,

The Court rightly rejects efforts by the United States and the private plaintiffs to accord outsized credit to claims about medical consensus and expertise. The United States [under the Biden Admn.] asserted that “the medical community and the nation’s leading hospitals overwhelmingly agree” with the Government’s position that the treatments outlawed by SB1 [the TN legislation] can be medically necessary. Brief for United States 35; see also Brief for Respondents in Support of Petitioner 5 (asserting that “[e]very major medical association in the United States” supports this position). The implication of these arguments is that courts should defer to so-called expert consensus.

There are several problems with appealing and deferring to the authority of the expert class. First, so-called experts have no license to countermand the “wisdom, fairness, or logic of legislative choices.”…Second, contrary to the representations of the United States and the private plaintiffs, there is no medical consensus on how best to treat gender dysphoria in children. Third, notwithstanding the alleged experts’ view that young children can provide informed consent to irreversible sex-transition treatments, whether such consent is possible is a question of medical ethics that States must decide for themselves. Fourth, there are particularly good reasons to question the expert class here, as recent revelations suggest that leading voices in this area have relied on questionable evidence, and have allowed ideology to influence their medical guidance.

Note that in his first and third points, Justice Thomas is basically saying that scientists (medical doctors, etc.) aren’t necessarily good legislators or policy makers. C.S. Lewis agreed. In 1958, in Willing Slaves of the Welfare State, Lewis wrote,

[T]he new oligarchy must more and more base its claim to plan us on its claim to knowledge. If we are to be mothered, mother must know best. This means they must increasingly rely on the advice of scientists, till in the end the politicians proper become merely the scientists’ puppets. Technocracy is the form to which a planned society must tend. Now I dread specialists in power because they are specialists speaking outside their special subjects. Let scientists tell us about sciences. But government involves questions about the good for man, and justice, and what things are worth having at what price; and on these a scientific training gives a man’s opinion no added value. Let the doctor tell me I shall die unless I do so-and-so; but whether life is worth having on those terms is no more a question for him than for any other man…I dread government in the name of science. That is how tyrannies come in.

The “expert class” and Lewis’s “specialists in power” are one and the same. After the Skrmetti ruling, the left continued to its appeal to their “expert class.” Writing of “puberty-blocking drugs and hormone therapies,” Scientific American declared “Their use for gender dysphoria is currently supported by the American Medical Association, the American Association of Pediatrics, the American Psychological Association and other important medical institutions.”

In a press release post Skrmetti, the American Academy of Pediatrics—no-doubt considering themselves a part of the “expert class”—stated “Gender-affirming care is medically necessary for treating gender dysphoria and is backed by decades of peer-reviewed research, clinical experience, and scientific consensus.”

In an interview after the Skrmetti ruling was announced, on MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes show, the aptly named “Chase Strangio”—the ACLU “transgender” (a “strangely” deceived woman pretending to be a man) lawyer who argued Skrmetti before SCOTUS—regularly referred to “doctors” or “experts” in attempting to make the case that we should allow children to be subjected to ghastly “transgender” treatments.

In other words, according to the left, we must completely surrender to transgender agenda because of “science.” Of course, real science is no friend to “transgenderism,” so the left must again rely on “scientism.” Whether or not you’re familiar with scientism, if you’re at least four years old, you’ve lived it.

The Covid era that we all suffered under was saturated with scientism. Anthony Fauci, et al reeked of scientism! Of course, scientism is not science. It is an ideology that is often confused with science. It is, rather, an abuse of the scientific method and scientific authority.

Scientism seeks to elevate the methods of natural science to a level where it is the bar by which every other intellectual discipline is held. Scientism ridicules faith and religion and tells us that “God is dead.” Scientism tells us that the “debate is over,” so shut up and get in line. Again, this was never more evident and real for us all than during the Covid era.

The left regularly employs scientism. Whether abortion, “climate change,” immigration, and the like, the modern left frequently appeals to the “experts” in an attempt to get their way. Adherents of scientism promote fear and anger to try and scare or enrage enough followers to accomplish their goals.

Leftists are more prone to fall into scientism because of their abandonment of God and His absolute truths. The “transgender” movement stands opposed to one of the oldest truths in the history of humanity, so of course “transgender” apologists must resort to scientism. Thank God, most of America simply isn’t falling for it.

Serious, Sincere Christians Should Never Vote for a Democrat

I’ve reached that stage of life that, on occasion, I’m asked for life advice. My best, most succinct answer is this: Follow Jesus and don’t vote for Democrats. The reason for the former part of my statement is widely known, and the reason for the latter is simple: The Democrat Party is one of the greatest tools of Satan in the world today.

In spite of this, there is some foolish thing called “Evangelicals for Harris.” (Until the Democrat coup, they were known as “Evangelicals for Biden.”) This is supposedly an organization of Christians who have decided to vote for Kamala Harris for President of the United States because “Orange man bad,” and are encouraging other Christians, or, more likely so-called Christians, to do the same.

Support from one of Billy Graham’s grandchildren has recently brought the organization a bit of media attention. On their website, the anti-Trump group declares, “Evangelicals don’t have to change who they are, they just need to reaffirm who they are by voting for someone who better reflects Christian values.” That statement alone should completely disqualify “Evangelicals for Harris” from any serious consideration by any sincere Christian.

The Democrat Party—especially the national leadership—is almost completely devoid of anything that “reflects Christian values.” As I have often noted, and as we saw with slavery in nineteenth century America, the modern Democrat Party is on the wrong side of virtually every significant moral issue of our time.

Democrats have long been wrong on sex, wrong on marriage, wrong on life, wrong on the family, wrong on economics, wrong on the climate, wrong on crime and punishment, wrong on immigration, wrong on faith, and so on. And they haven’t merely been wrong, Democrats have made numerous laws and enacted countless policies rooted in their many wrongs.

Most of these laws and policies are in clear and direct contradiction to what Christianity teaches. For example, the truth on marriage—that it is only the union of one man and one woman for life—is one of the oldest truths in the history of humanity. Very early in Scripture (Genesis chapter two), God reveals the truth on marriage.

Also, marriage is the oldest institution in the history of humanity—older than God’s covenant with the nation of Israel, older than The Law, older than the church. If ANYTHING is true, marriage as the union of one man and one woman is true. Yet, five justices on the U.S. Supreme Court corrupted by a liberal worldview redefined marriage in U.S. law for all of America. Never have so few destroyed so much in America in such a short time. (Recall, there was no hand wringing in the drive-by media over this profound but very narrow ruling.)

About the only fact in human history older than marriage is the truth on what is a male and what is a female. Yet again, Democrats across America deny this plain, simple truth and insist on forcing the rest of us—again, via the courts, legislatures, and executive branches—to accommodate and even affirm their wicked lies and perversions in this grave matter.

This evil hasn’t merely resulted in men and boys taking trophies and prizes from female athletes. Unsuspecting, naïve, and deceived children are being mutilated in the name of this perversion and Democrats are insisting on even enforcing disagreeing parents to play along! What’s more, government, military, corporate, and educational policies are being changed to accommodate democrat delusions on who is a male and who is a female.

Likewise, Democrats continue to insist on enforcing their “green energy” fantasies on the rest of the U.S. It seems most American Democrats are more committed to their green agenda than they anything within Christianity. The only “leadership” revealed on the website for “Evangelicals for Harris” shows Jim Ball. His bio on the page declares,

The Rev. Jim Ball, Ph.D., is author of Global Warming and the Risen LORD.  For 20 years he formerly served as a senior executive in a Christian environmental organization.  The architect of the “What Would Jesus Drive” educational campaign and the key organizer and national spokesperson for the Evangelical Climate Initiative, Jim has testified before Congress and appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America, Fox, CNN, and NPR. He has been featured in the New York Times, and honored by Rolling Stone magazine as one of their environmental “Warriors and Heroes,” and by Time magazine as one of its climate change “innovators.”

Mr. Ball sounds like a reverend in the “New Religion of the First World Elites.” In other words, he sounds more like he’s devoted to the Church of Climate Change than he is to Christianity. Of course, Democrats have foolishly attempted sweeping change in U.S. energy policy in the name of “saving the planet” from false idea that man-caused climate change is harming it.

Of all the Democrat’s bad ideas, there is likely none that’s more financially devastating than an attempted (it can’t really happen) transition to “green energy.” What the failed Biden-Harris administration has already “accomplished” in this area of the American economy has been a considerable burden to U.S. citizens. Higher gas prices have plagued the Biden-Harris administration and have significantly contributed to inflation throughout the U.S.

These are merely three examples of what Democrats and their foolish anti-Christian, anti-capitalist, pro-authoritarian policies have done to America. The harm to our country and culture wrought by the Democrat Party is near-immeasurable and massively immoral, and Christians should have nothing to do with it.

“Democracy” Means Little to Those Who’ve Made a god of Government

Say it ain’t so! Old, slow Joe is no mo’! At long last—a mere 107 days from the election—the Democrats have abandoned democracy and have concluded that their “party leaders” (Barack Obama’s words) will decide who will be their presidential candidate in 2024. It turns out the dastardly Democrat Party is a dreadful steward of democracy. Of course, this should surprise no one.

The idea that democrats are the “defenders of democracy” is as much a charade as was the notion that Joe Biden is “far beyond cogent” and “better than he’s ever been.” This would all be hilarious if it weren’t so fraught with peril. Having Joe Biden dodder around the White House, stumble across the country, and wander-off throughout the world for three-and-a-half years has proved a disaster for the United States. Americans are quite lucky (blessed!) that things are not far worse in our nation.

Things will get worse if a more capable Democrat gets the keys to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Because, again, it’s not Joe Biden’s lack of physical and mental acuity that have proved most disastrous for the U.S. His party’s policies are the biggest threat, and if a younger, more energetic, more enthusiastic Democrat replaces him and wins in November, we will spiral further and faster down the proverbial drain.

Joe Biden was simply the most electable tool for the democrats in 2020. He is no longer that, so “party leaders” decided he had to be replaced. As the past several years have well demonstrated, Joe Biden’s health was never a problem for his apologists. It’s not really a problem for them now either.

Make no mistake about it, if Joe Biden was looking like he was going to beat Donald Trump, the democrats would be happy to continue with his sham of a presidential campaign. (They still plan to continue with his sham of a presidency!) Running cover for a dreadful debate is light work for those who belong to the “father of lies.” But, since Biden looked like a sure loser in November, and since keeping the power of the U.S presidency is paramount for the Democrat Party, “party leaders” have decided their primary no longer matters.

Political power of any sort is vastly important to those who’ve made a god of government, and the pinnacle of political power in the world is the presidency of the United States. By and large, democrats across the U.S. have put their hope and trust in the things of this world. Thus, efforts at achieving political power in this world is where so many democrats focus their time, energy, and financial resources.

Donald Trump is a threat to this power, but efforts at removing him have proved fruitless. (Even for would-be assassins!) Therefore, democrats turned towards attacking (politically) a weaker, more vulnerable man, and if “democracy” had to be sacrificed to make sure this attack succeeded, then so be it.

Of Course Joe Biden Won the Rigged Democrat Primaries

In an effort to stave off the calls for him to drop out of the race for U.S. President, in a letter to congressional Democrats, Joe Biden boldly declared,

We had a Democratic nomination process and the voters have spoken clearly and decisively. I received over 14 million votes, 87% of the votes cast across the entire nominating process. I have nearly 3,900 delegates, making me the presumptive nominee of our party by a wide margin.

This was a process open to anyone who wanted to run. Only three people chose to challenge me…

As a follow-up to that letter, on Monday morning, July 8, Biden called in to one of his favorite Democrat shills, Morning Joe, and told Joe Scarborough and his meager audience,

Well look — Democrats — Joe, let me say it this way, the reason I’ve been on the road so much, all over the country, while Trump is riding around in a golf cart, filling out his golf cart before, golf cart before he even hits the ball — but anyway, he hasn’t been anywhere in 10 days, I’ve been all over the country, No. 1. And I’ve gone over the country for several reasons, one, to make sure my instinct was right about the party still wanting me to be the nominee. And all the data, all the data shows that the average Democrat out there who voted, 14 million of them who’ve voted for me, still want me to be the nominee, No. 1. [Empasis mine.]

In other words, Joe Biden is telling his Democrat critics to “back off” because he won. And he’s not wrong! As Mary Rooke at the Daily Caller points out,

All fifty states have voted in party primaries. The Democrats chose President Joe Biden, and the Republicans voted in former President Donald Trump as their candidate. At this point, while still an important part of the official process, the party conventions are merely a formality. But that is not stopping the Democrat Party from attempting a coup against its voters to install their preferred candidate, who is no longer Biden.

Yes, Joe Biden won the 2024 Democrat primaries. However, what he is—and most others are—failing to point out is that he won a largely rigged process. As early as February of 2023, astute observers of the political scene were aware of the Democrat Party’s efforts to ensure it was Joe Biden who was their nominee for the 2024 election. On February 5, 2023, the Editorial Board of The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), penned “Rigging the Primaries for Biden.” They wrote,

The Democratic National Committee voted Saturday to revise the party’s nominating calendar to put South Carolina first in line, upending a half century of tradition. The Iowa caucuses, which have been first since 1972, will be relegated to the back of the bus. After South Carolina’s primary on Feb. 3, 2024, the new order will be: New Hampshire and Nevada both on Feb. 6, followed by Georgia on Feb. 13 and Michigan on Feb. 27.

All of this is being done at the request—please don’t say orders—of the Biden White House. South Carolina rescued Mr. Biden’s candidacy in 2020 from defeat by Bernie Sanders, and black voters in that state and Georgia make up a large part of the Democratic electorate and Mr. Biden’s core support. Michigan’s primary was held on March 10 in 2020 and is another state where he won.

The DNC pushed Iowa and New Hampshire back in their primary calendar because those two states were perceived as likely not giving Biden necessary political momentum. As the WSJ put it,

The main benefit of the early New Hampshire and Iowa contests is that they give voters a chance at close-up vetting, and they give long-shot candidates a chance to elevate an issue or emerge from obscurity. The winners don’t always go on to be nominated, much less take the White House, but they are a different kind of candidate test than debates and TV advertising.

The risk for Democrats is that by greasing the wheels for Mr. Biden they will miss such a signal from the electorate. The polls are showing that even most Democrats prefer another nominee in 2024.

In June of 2023, ABC News wrote a piece detailing how Democrats were going to keep Biden from primary debates. Former CEO and co-founder of Twitter (now X) Jack Dorsey was quoted as saying, “Open the Democrat primaries and debates. This isn’t fair to anyone.” The same ABC News piece also noted, “When asked by Politico in August 2022 about how they might deal with a primary challenge, DNC executive director Sam Cornale put it bluntly: ‘We're with Biden. Period.’”

So as early as 2022, the DNC had made up its mind about Biden. Just this week, NBC chief political analyst Chuck Todd said that a “senior cabinet member” told him two years ago that they don’t think Biden can continue as President. Two years ago was 2022. The DNC had to have had this information as well, or they sure should have! Yet, they chose to go with Joe Biden.

In September of 2023, liberal publication Vox felt the need to explain “Why Biden isn’t getting a credible primary challenger.” Also in September of 2023, for the WSJ, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wrote “The Democratic Party Rigs the Primaries.” In January of 2024, The Washington Post (see here to avoid a paywall) ran “How the DNC challenger-proofed the primaries for Biden” by Jim Geraghty.

There were significant accusations in 2020 as well that the Democrat Party rigged their primaries to favor Joe Biden. Now just who is it that is the real “threat to democracy” in America?! The Democrat Party has no one to blame but themselves when it comes to the position they are now in with Joe Biden. Though they regularly hail themselves as “defenders of democracy,” it should come as no surprise that the political party who has little issue with election rigging now wants to engage in more election tampering and install a chosen candidate to replace Joe Biden.

And never forget, the cover-up of Joe Biden’s significant health issues by the drive-by media is also a means of election rigging. The drive-bys also share the blame for a mentally and physically disabled man now serving as President of the United States.

The American Left Has Long Been Littered with Lies and Liars

The day after Joe Biden turned in the horrific debate performance that many of us knew was coming, and after countless Democrat apparatchiks finally had to admit what many of us have long known—that Joe Biden is unfit to serve as U.S. President—Biden got out on the campaign trail and declared,

Folks, I don’t walk as easy as I used to. I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to. I don’t debate as well as I used to. But I know what I do know. I know how to tell the truth. I know right from wrong. 

Prior to this, immediately after the debate, and just after treating her husband like a five-year-old who had just finished his tee-ball game, Jill Biden led the faithful in declaring Donald Trump a liar. As Joe Biden continues to resist calls to drop out of the race (though, that could change soon), the American left is clinging to two particular refrains when it comes the race for the White House: Donald Trump is a liar and a “threat to democracy.”

The “threat to democracy” accusation is getting democrats virtually nowhere. In a richly hilarious bit of irony, a recent Washington Post poll found that Trump beat Biden by double digits (44% to 33%) in who would best protect America from “threats to democracy.” (Can you imagine how difficult it must have been for the Democrat lackeys at the Washington Post to publish these results?!)

Even more absurd is the Democrat Party touting their candidate—Joe Biden, or whoever it turns out to be—as an agent of truth. When it comes to the most important moral issues of our time, few entities have been on the wrong side of the truth more often than has the Democrat Party and their apologists.

The democrat platform has long been a mountain of lies. On everything from abortion to “universal health care,” the Democrat Party has lied repeatedly, for decades. Since at least the early 1970s, in order to justify killing the most helpless and innocent among us—the unborn—the American left has continuously dehumanized the unborn. They have told countless lies about the consequences of killing a child in the womb. They have even gone so far as to attempt to justify what could only be described as infanticide.

The numerous lies surrounding abortion were born from the left’s lies on sex. With devastating consequences, the left has preached to generations of Americans the pagan principle “Do as thou wilt” when it comes to matters in the sexual realm. Thus, millions of Americans have been deceived into believing that they can have sex whenever they like, with whomever they like, without consequence. And, of course, if an unwanted child results, the left demands the “right” to kill it.

Likewise, the evil LGBT agenda was born out of the left’s lies on sex. Among much other wickedness, the LGBT agenda has resulted in the perverse lie that is same-sex “marriage” along with the absurd lie that, through mutilating their bodies, human beings can change their sex.

In the name of more power and control over our lives—just as we saw with COVID—the left continues to promote the lie that man-made global warming climate change threatens the planet. This lie has become the “new religion of first world elites.” This lie also demands trillions of dollars in a foolish and ineffectual “energy transition,” that the use of fossil fuels must stop, and that we should eat bugs instead of beef.

The left’s lies on police and crime have led to pervasive and enduring lawlessness in numerous American cities. Of course, this resulted from the widespread effort to “defund the police” in democrat-controlled cities and states. Because the left can’t tell the truth about crime, Democrat-run cities are also littered with the homeless, squatters, and drug users to the point that millions of Americans are fleeing these liberal hell-holes.

In an attempt to “Make America Mexico Again,” or to import more democrat voters, the left continues to lie about their desire for open borders and the devastating consequences of this destructive, intentional policy. The Biden administration alone has lied over-and-over again about the crisis at our southern border. Unsurprisingly, the attempt to bolster this lie with virtue-signaling “sanctuary city” policies has backfired big time on Democrats.

One of the most lucrative lies for the left is the idea that “systemic racism” still plagues the U.S. This is a rather effective lie as well, as three-fourths of Joe Biden voters believe that America is a racist nation. Of course, it makes it rather easy to paint a nation or an individual as racist when almost everything that exists can described as “racist.”

For example, according to the left, merely wanting peace and quiet is now “white supremacy.” Similarly, being fit is racist, the Electoral College is racist, math is racist, and even being born white is racist.

And who can forget the left’s repeated lies on Trump-Russia collusion and the Hunter Biden laptop? What’s more, the left has long lied about guns and gun violence, education, the economy, and even the nature of truth itself.

The left lies as if it were its native language. For many years now I have said that one of the greatest tools of Satan in the world today is the Democrat Party. In John 8:44, speaking of Satan, Jesus declares, “When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” Given how frequently and demonstrably the left lies, it seems my claim is spot on.

Taking the "Alphabet Mafia" Seriously

This post is from a piece by David Strom at Hot Air. It was published this past Sunday (4/21/24) in their weekly "Sunday Smiles" section. Everything below is from Mr. Strom's piece:

Karen wrote about the Bill Maher speech that declared, among other things, that Ron DeSantis was right about kicking alphabet ideology out of schools.

It was a great rant, and I agreed with almost every word. Yet it left me angry as well as satisfied, and I will tell you why in a bit. (Language Warning!)

Maher hit all the right notes: the entertainment industry IS filled with pedophiles, adults are sexualizing kids, kids ARE being groomed to become Queer, and Drag Queen Story Hour is perverted.

And Ron Desantis was right, and the only reason why the liberals denied it is that he is a Republican. Yep. Spot on.

So why am I still angry?

That last point gives it away: it takes Bill Maher permitting liberals to admit the obvious to get anybody to take these issues seriously, and that just isn't good enough.

Countless children have been and will be sacrificed to the alphabet gods for no other reason than liberals don't want to admit conservatives are right about anything. ...

It is a FACT that liberals will approve of pedophiles being given access to children because to do otherwise would confirm what conservatives say.

Think about how f'**ked up that is. They will let children be fondled by kiddie diddlers because admitting a Republican is right about an issue is a bridge too far.

We saw EXACTLY this when Sound of Freedom came out. There was a massive campaign to discredit the film and the idea of child sex trafficking for no other reason than Christians liked the film. It was as simple as that. We got the "Q-Anon" accusations. Suddenly, anybody worried about child sex trafficking was called a kook, despite several child sex trafficking rings being broken up WHILE THE CONTROVERSY was ongoing. 

The movie WAS BASED ON A TRUE STORY! But since conservatives liked the movie and that kids were being saved from sexual exploitation, it had to be discredited. There was a massive campaign to destroy the movie that thankfully failed.

We are a long way from alphabet ideology being driven out of society--in Blue states the momentum for it has GROWN as the rest of the world recoils in horror. ...

I have been told I am too angry, to which I say: YOU ARE NOT ANGRY ENOUGH. Horrible evils have been done. Millions stood by and enabled it, even justified it. NEVER Forget the COVID Fanatics and Their Hatred for the Unvaccinated

Most importantly, NEVER forget how wrong they were--on virtually EVERYTHING concerning COVID-19. From lockdowns, to masks, social distancing, testing, vaccines, and so on, the American left--especially those in the media, education, and the Democrat Party--got almost everything on COVID wrong. (For a litany of information on all things COVID, see here (2020), here (2021), here (2022), and here (2023). 

Additionally, as the video below highlights, whether media leftists, or Democrats, the COVID-19 zealots slanderously accused the unvaccinated of numerous healthcare "sins." The likes of Mika Brzezinski, Don Lemon, Stephen Colbert, Whoopi Goldberg, Howard Stern, Joy Reid, et al called the unvaccinated "lunatics" who are "killing people." The unvaccinated were told, "You are the problem," and were "not to be trusted." 

Jimmy Kimmel was for denying the unvaccinated hospital beds. The unvaccinated were blamed whenever COVID cases rose, though that flew in the face of the mantra that the COVID vaccine would protect one from getting infected (it didn't!). Additionally, unvaccinated were used to keep the foolish, ignorant, and useless mask mandates in place. 

As Bob Hoge at RedState rightly puts it, 

Entire swaths of citizens were deemed enemies of the country by our own president, and many thought that those who did not want to get the shots were simply stupid or evil or both. This is in spite of the fact that it quickly became apparent to any rational mind that the mRNA jabs weren’t working to stop transmission or infection...The viciousness and self-righteousness displayed by so many “leaders” during the pandemic will go down as one of the darker periods in American history. It would be bad enough if they were right—but they were wrong, and it was they who ignored the science. Trust them again at your peril.

Never Forget the COVID Fascists

Recent weeks have made it clear that Democrats don’t know fascism, even when it is staring back at them. On fascism, the Father of Fascism, Benito Mussolini, wrote, “The foundation of Fascism is the conception of the State, its character, its duty, and its aim. Fascism conceives of the State as an absolute, in comparison with which all individuals or groups are relative, only to be conceived of in their relation to the State.”

If ever the American government viewed its authority as “absolute,” if ever individual Americans were under the notion that they were “only to be conceived of in their relation to the State,” it was shortly after COVID-19 entered the U.S. I submit to you that the COVID policies—shutdowns and lockdowns; “stay home, stay safe;” mandatory masking, social distancing, testing, and vaccines; and so on—perpetuated by the American left and those like-minded were the greatest demonstration of fascism the United States has ever known. In the nearly 250-year history of the U.S., never before has the American government exercised such power over its citizenry as it did in the name of “slowing the spread,” “following the science,” and the like. And never before in the history of the U.S. has the exercise of government power been so misinformed and misguided, with such disastrous results.

Of course, with elections looming, in an attempt to escape responsibility for their COVID tyranny, Democrats and their lackeys in the media want to blame “the pandemic,” and whenever possible, Donald Trump and the MAGA agenda. For example, last week, the American drive-by media widely reported on the “dismal learning loss” suffered by U.S. students “due to the pandemic.” The idea that “the pandemic erased two decades of progress in math and reading” was frequently parroted by said media.

Tens of millions of American students suffered far more than “learning loss” from the late winter of 2020 until now, but almost none of this was “due to the pandemic.” Rather, it was all due to a widespread foolish—and often downright evil—reaction to the pandemic.

When confronted with the national test results that revealed the scope of the “learning loss” suffered by U.S. students, “turning reality on its head,” the Biden administration pointed the finger at Trump and the GOP and said that re-opening schools “was the work of Democrats in spite of Republicans.” As Guy Benson at Townhall.com noted, this is a “brazen lie.”

Indeed, one of the political reasons that schools remained closed in Democratic areas and states for as long as they did is because President Trump called for them to be open. And because designated villains like Gov. Ron DeSantis were following the data and permitting in-person learning to resume. In an era of negative partisanship, kids were actively and needlessly hurt—with lasting deleterious impact—because politically-addicted adults didn't want [to] admit the 'wrong' sort of people were right about something. Just look at the metrics on states that opened schools first versus last. If [White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s] pathetic spin were accurate, the red states would be the holdouts.

We all know that’s not true. It’s the opposite of the truth. Conservative governors were assailed for ‘killing’ children as they made the right call, as Democrat-funding teachers unions blasted school re-openings as white supremacy, and other such insulting nonsense. They cannot run away from their policies, and they cannot run away from their words. 

While the school—and the many school-related activity—shutdowns across the U.S. were tragic, the effects of foolish and unnecessary COVID policies on small American businesses were even worse. “Learning loss” can be recovered. Tens of thousands of small businesses destroyed due to the COVID lockdowns and shutdowns will never return. Barely six months into our COVID hysteria—as I noted in November of 2020—it was clear that fascist government policies were devastating small businesses throughout the U.S. As I noted at the time,

In spite of the science and the months of real-time data that proved it unnecessary, the left has persisted with shutting down businesses and churches. As a result of these state-enforced lockdowns, hundreds of thousands of small businesses in the U.S. have shut down—many of them permanently so.

Data from late September show that between March 1 and August 31, a total of 163,735 businesses on Yelp—which is especially representative of small businesses—closed. According to Yelp, about 60 percent of these businesses (nearly 98,000) will never reopen. The Yelp data reveals that small restaurants and retail stores have been hit particularly hard. It has made zero sense that Walmart, Target, Home Depot—none of whom were requiring masks as late as middle July—and the like have been allowed to remain open, while your local diner, gun store, or gym was forced to close.

By June of 2021, COVID shutdowns and lockdowns had destroyed nearly 40% of U.S. small businesses. As Pajamas Media reported at the time,

While bureaucrats gave Walmart, Costco, Lowe’s, and other big-box stores “essential” status, allowing them to stay open during the COVID pandemic, 38.9% of America’s small businesses, the providers of most of the country’s jobs, were forced to close based on fear, hackneyed social-distancing rules, early ignorance about transmission, and an insatiable desire by governors to micromanage the affairs of men.

Nothing says “micromanaging the affairs of men” like forcing men (and women, and children) to take medicine they don’t want or don’t need. Shortly after COVID-19 began to spread, the rush and the race for a vaccine was on. When the so-called “vaccines” were announced, government throughout the U.S. could hardly contain their desire to enact “vaccine” mandates. We were constantly told that the COVID “vaccines” would actually do what vaccines do: prevent one from getting what one is vaccinated against.

In early 2021, Dr. Anthony Fauci said that the COVID “vaccines” provide “a 94 to 95 percent efficacy in preventing clinically recognizable disease.” In a July, 2021 townhall, Joe Biden himself said, “You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.” Natural immunity was all but ignored, and these deceptions were repeated, or implied, ad-nauseum. Those bent towards totalitarianism were eager to create “vaccine” mandates.

These mandates had deadly results. Hospital staff shortages were created, all-cause mortality exploded among many groups, and once new COVID variants arose, the world’s most “vaccinated” countries showed shockingly high COVID infection rates. We were told that unless populations were sufficiently “vaccinated,” a “pandemic of the unvaccinated” would result. Instead, a “pandemic of the vaccinated” developed.

The cost of the American left’s COVID fascism was not only measured in trillions of dollars lost, but countless sickness and death as well. Never forget the COVID fascists who for far too long plagued America. Most certainly remember them when it comes time to vote. If we don’t hold them accountable—and most importantly, remove them from power—I can almost guarantee you that they will do this again when the next “crisis” arrives.

Democrat Policies Will Create More Pregnant 10-Year-Olds (Updated)

The end of Roe v. Wade—while a tremendous constitutional victory—is far from enough to end abortion in America. Many states in the U.S. will see just as many abortions—if not more—as they would have if Roe had never been overturned. What’s more, the (seemingly always) angry left in America seems ever more determined to bring even more sexual deviancy into our culture.

As the last several decades have taught us, the left doesn’t need an excuse to push the sexual boundaries in America, but losing Roe seems to have pushed many into a deeper darkness when it comes to matters in the sexual realm.

After the Dobbs decision which overturned Roe, Teen Vogue—a magazine for adolescents—published an article entitled “How to Get an Abortion if You’re a Teen After Roe v. Wade Was Overturned.” The article goes to great lengths to undermine parents of pregnant teenagers, declaring, “Having access to abortion should be your right, regardless of your parents’ beliefs.”

The article goes on to say,

If you aren’t comfortable telling a parent about your decision to have an abortion, you can seek what’s called a “judicial bypass” in one of the many states that has this system. Judicial bypass allows you to go directly before a judge and get approval from that judge to have an abortion, rather than having consent from your parents. Yes, it’s paternalistic and unfair that you literally have to get permission from someone else to choose what to do with your body, but it is an option for legal abortion. 

The piece also included a link to an “interactive map” on abortion access throughout the United States. Of course, we shouldn’t be surprised. As a Red State writer recently noted—recalling the infamous “A Guide to Anal Sex”—Teen Vogue has been “a pioneer” in marketing sex to kids. I suppose if you’re going to sell immoral sex to kids, you may as well promote the immoral “solution” to immoral sex as well.

Along with garbage media like Teen Vogue, the left in America has widely taken to using “Drag Demon Queens”—specifically “Drag Demon Queen Story Hour” (DQSH)—to sell sex to children. In a recent piece at the Huffington Post, one of the “organizers” of DQSH—"Lil Miss Hot Mess”—in an effort to defend DQSH, promoted drag events as a “decidedly queer practice” that help assert “the right to queer.”

RuPaul—the infamous celebrity promoter of all things drag—describes drag as a “very, very political” act because it “challenges the status quo.” He further adds, “Drag says ‘I'm a shapeshifter, I do whatever the hell I want at any given time.’” It seems doing “whatever the hell I want at any given time” now includes promoting a perverse sexual culture to children.

With DQSH now having occurred for years in many U.S. cities, with little real pushback, those devoted to the evil LGBTMYNAMEISLEGION agenda now feel emboldened to have kids attend actual drag shows (and even participate in them!). One promoter of this evil boldly declares, “children belong at drag shows!” (WARNING: previous link is extremely graphic!) These are highly sexual events where partial to near-full nudity is frequent, and the language and actions during the shows are filled with sexual innuendo. (This type of garbage is also often present at most every “Pride” parade.)

And the Democrat Party—at the highest levels—seems all for this evil. Michigan’s attorney general, Dana Nessel—a democrat—has called for “A drag queen for every school!” Nessel’s full quote:

A drag queen for every school! That is what would be fun for the kids and lift them up when they are having emotional issues. Drag queens—not only are they not hurting our kids—drag queens make everything better! Drag queens are fun.

Since 2018, New York City has paid over $200,000 to Drag Story Hour NYC to read books to K-12 students. New York Mayor, Eric Adams—a democrat—defended the practice, stating, “The goal is not only for our children to be academically smart, but also emotionally intelligent. Drag storytellers, and the libraries and schools that support them, are advancing a love of diversity, personal expression, and literacy that is core to what our city embraces.”

Last year, Alaska democrats used their resources to promote a DQSH event. A Facebook post announced, “The Alaska Democratic Party is proud to host this event virtually so Alaskans across the state can now enjoy story time together.”

In an appearance on “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars,” Nancy Pelosi stated that drag queens are “what America is all about.” According to The Heritage Foundation, in an effort to force schools throughout America to promote the transgender agenda, the Biden administration “skipped over Congress and any rule-making processes and are threatening to withhold federal school lunches from low-income children in schools where boys are not allowed to participate in girls sports or access girls bathrooms.”

Scott McKay at The American Spectator is right, “The evidence of the Left’s designs on America’s children is everywhere.” And the Democrat Party’s fingerprints are all over these “designs.” I suppose this is why the left wants to make sure that 10-year-olds can get abortions.

During the past week, in order to push their abortion/sex agenda, democrats throughout the U.S. widely, and quickly, spread the story of a 10-year-old rape victim in Ohio, who, due to Ohio’s restrictions, had to flee to Indiana to obtain an abortion. The story has yet to be verified and appears to be nothing more than more vile leftist propaganda.

If the modern left, and today’s Democrat Party, truly cared about pregnant 10-year-olds, they would stop promoting policies that helped create them.

Update: There is now some indication that the story of a pregnant 10-year-old in Ohio who went to Indiana to obtain an abortion may be true. From Twitchy: 

The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that Gershon Fuentes, a 27-year-old Columbus man, has been charged with the rape of a 10-year-old girl who traveled to Indianapolis for an abortion...And the report says Fuentes is “believed to be undocumented.” 

In other words, it appears that Fuentes is an illegal immigrant. If this is indeed the case, the premise of this piece is spot on, though in a way not specifically mentioned in my original version of this piece. I failed to note the U.S. southern border disaster, which, along with allowing the entry of child rapists, is also a tremendous gateway for sex trafficking. Of course, it is the policies of the Democrat Party that are specifically and especially responsible for the illegal entry into the U.S. by purported criminals like Fuentes.

Democrats: Killing With Misinformation Since 1840

In 1840, item seven of the Democrat Party Platform read,

Resolved, That congress has no power, under the constitution, to interfere with or control the domestic institutions of the several states, and that such states are the sole and proper judges of everything appertaining to their own affairs, not prohibited by the constitution; that all efforts by abolitionists or others, made to induce congress to interfere with questions of slavery, or to take incipient steps in relation thereto, are calculated to lead to the most alarming and dangerous consequences, and that all such efforts have an inevitable tendency to diminish the happiness of the people, and endanger the stability and permanency of the union, and ought not to be countenanced by any friend to our political institutions.

For six consecutive party platforms—from 1840 through 1860—democrats used their party platform to promote the institution of slavery. In addition to keeping the horrific institution legal in the U.S., as a result of this deceit, hundreds of thousands of Americans would die. 

Likewise, save for one year—1984—where abortion was not mentioned in the party platform, since 1976 the modern Democrat Party has unapologetically stood for the “right” to kill children in the womb. In attempt to justify this slaughter, and to keep as many Americans as possible—especially younger Americans—in the dark about the abortion industry, democrats have used decades of disinformation to dehumanize the unborn. This has resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of the most innocent and helpless among us.

For the sixth straight year, STD rates in the U.S. hit a record high number. In April of this year, Info Wars reported,

According to the latest data, 2.5 million Americans had either chlamydia, gonorrhea or syphilis infections in 2019, with chlamydia cases rising 61 per cent and gonorrhea cases spiking 42 per cent among young people aged 15 to 24.

The research shows that gay and bisexual men account for nearly half of the primary and secondary syphilis infections while syphilis infections among newborn babies also quadrupled between 2015 and 2019.

…In addition, a recent CDC study found that more than four out of 10 “women” who identify as transgender and live in big cities have contracted HIV.

Two thirds of black “women” who identify as transgender and over a third of Hispanic transgenders also have HIV.

The evil LGBT agenda, which has long been embraced and enacted by the modern Democrat Party, has also long proven quite deadly. Nevertheless, democrats have presented even the mutilation of children as something that is normal and healthy (and thus, of course, a “right” that must be protected by law). This is often done in spite of the protests of the parents of children who are suffering with sexual delusions.

With their Wuhan Virus driven lockdowns, rampant fear porn, and foolish and ignorant devotion to masks—along with policies that (again) directly put the most vulnerable among us in harm’s way—democrats did little to nothing to “slow the spread” of the virus. What’s more, their lockdown and mask policies have wrought untold damage and death throughout the U.S.

Joe Biden wants us to believe that Facebook is responsible for “killing people” by allowing Wuhan Virus and vaccine “misinformation” on its platform. This is, of course, yet another lie from today’s leader of the Democrat Party. However, when it comes to death and misinformation, Joe Biden should know of what he speaks. No one in American history is responsible for more deaths through misinformation than is the Democrat Party and their like-minded allies in the media.

Liberals Wrote the Book on Sexual Immorality

Perhaps the most guarded tenet of all of modern liberalism is the idea that people should be able to do whatever they wish in the sexual realm. Whether killing children in the womb, redefining the oldest institution in the history of humanity, fighting for the “right” of men to use women’s restrooms—and for women to cheat at sports, and for men to take trophies from women—celebrating the sexualization of children, everything else in the perverse LGBT agenda, and so on, much of what modern liberals hold dear hinges on sexual hedonism.

Thus, as others have already well noted, the sex scandals that have rocked Hollywood and Washington D.C. are some of the least shocking things to come across the news wire since learning that Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, et al, bloated their baseball stats with the aid of performance enhancing drugs. (You don’t go from this to this without a little something extra in your milk.)

In other words, seeing media reports that reveal that many Hollywood and D.C. liberals are sexual deviants is like a 60 Minutes story that reveals that fat men like fried chicken. But hey, at least in large part, the liberal perverts in politics and entertainment are not hypocrites. They’re only practicing what they preach. And preach they do.

In spite of notions to the contrary, liberalism is obsessed with sex. Of course, most liberals would have us believe that this is the case with conservatives, especially Christian conservatives. Yet it is the politics and policies of liberalism that have forced Americans to debate what was once widely rejected as immoral and even unimaginable.

Led almost exclusively by those corrupted by a liberal worldview, for decades the entertainment industry—whether big screen, small screen, print, or internet media—has saturated American culture with sexual immorality. Acts of “mere” sexual harassment have long ranked extremely low on the scale of what is sexually outrageous in the entertainment industry.

On American screens, tales of men chasing women for nothing more than sex has garnered hundreds of millions of laughs and has been used to titillate generations of young and old men alike. Additionally, what modern action or drama film or television series is devoid of depicting—as C.S. Lewis bemoaned—“four bare legs in a bed?” These days, bare legs alarm almost no one. Many supposed “mainstream” Hollywood productions are now filled with graphic nudity and sex—what used to be called “pornography.”

Adultery, fornication, pornography, prostitution, homosexuality, and virtually every other sexual immorality imaginable has long been promoted and celebrated by the modern left. Along with the entertainment, news, and political arenas, schools, corporations, and even churches are filled with, and being led by, those who are dangerously, and often tragically, sexually deceived. Thus, if not directly debasing themselves by being personally involved in these wicked sexual activities, blind to the notion that some things don’t even deserve a debate, millions of Americans have at least been misled into thinking that such behavior must be “tolerated.”

Tragically, today’s liberals are so desperate to rid the world of anyone and anything that contradicts liberal dogma on sex, they will tolerate almost anything, except even a hint of Christian teaching on sexual morality. Demonstrating the fallacy that is today’s “tolerance,” liberals want their opponents to just shut up when it comes to sex. (No doubt this was much of the motivation behind the attacks on Roy Moore.)

Refusing to remain silent themselves—and because they’ve made a god of government—liberals are looking to make political hay out of the #MeToo meme. Far from wanting to reform what their worldview has wrought, liberals are hoping to further purge politics and the culture of those who stand opposed to progressive perversions.

As they look to lead as much of the country as possible to embrace the “values” of Sodom and Gomorrah, in addition to silencing their moral enemies, many liberals also want revenge. Hence, the war on Christians—and those like-minded—and the war on morality. Along with the threat of fines and even jail time, Christians brave enough to oppose the hedonistic agenda of the modern left face the loss of their jobs or their businesses.

With little thought to the illogic and hypocrisy behind their helter-skelter approach to sexual morality, the liberal media has been predictably sloppy. Before the #MeToo anti-sexual harassment meme caught on, liberals were lecturing us on the so-called “rape culture” allegedly so prevalent in America. Of course, today’s liberals are almost as qualified to instruct us on a rape culture as they are on sexual harassment.

When magazines devoted to promoting pornography, prostitution, and the “hook-up” culture decided to “shine the light” on the supposed college campus rape culture, no one should have been surprised at the disastrous outcome. And don’t be surprised to see similar results as liberals in the media rush to smear conservatives—particularly politicians—for “sexual misconduct.”

Real glee sets in among the liberal media when they get to report on conservatives—especially Christian conservatives—who’ve been caught with their pants down. Of course, liberals in the news media vigorously hunt down these stories (because such stories are often very hard to find), while often ignoring the immoral—and often illegal—dalliances of their like-minded friends and cohorts in politics, entertainment, and the information media.

Democrat politics and Hollywood “values”—aided and abetted by like-minded news media propagandists—is a marriage made in hell. As long as their wicked sexual agenda thrives, Americans—and America—will suffer. Something that more and more of us should ponder: maybe God was right about sex.

New Hampshire Vote Totals Look Troubling for Democrats

There was little suspense with the winners in the 2016 New Hampshire Presidential Primary. Just after the polls closed, the winners were known. Donald Trump easily won on the GOP side, and Bernie Sanders handily defeated Hillary Clinton. Most pundits are most interested in the second through fourth place finishers on the GOP side--especially where Cruz, Rubio, and Bush fall. (See results here.)

However, as of about 11:30 p.m. I believe there is even more interesting news. In 2008 the last time both parties had seriously contested NH primaries, the total GOP vote was 234,851. The total Democrat vote (which saw Hillary beat Barack) was 284,090. Tonight, with 71% of GOP vote in, the republicans have a total of 190,975 votes. With 72 % of the democrat vote in, Bernie and Hillary have totaled 166,516 votes.

This appears to be a major vote total decline for the democrats. Two states into the U.S. Presidential primary process, enthusiasm is not on the democrat side.

Update (7:10 a.m.): With 88% of the vote counted, GOP total is 258,354. With 89% of the vote counted, Democrat total is 227,543. This looks like its going to be a complete reversal of the vote totals from the 2008 New Hampshire Presidential Primary. Since 1992, New Hampshire has gone for the Democrats in the presidential general election five out of six times (the exception was 2000 when Bush beat Gore). I'm not sure how important is the vote turn-around in the primary (almost no one is reporting on this) and how exactly that will translate to the general election, but it is interesting nonetheless.

Update (9:20 a.m.): The Washington Times is now reporting on this. Its headline:
"GOP shatters its turnout record; Democrats lag behind."
