Taking the "Alphabet Mafia" Seriously

Karen wrote about the Bill Maher speech that declared, among other things, that Ron DeSantis was right about kicking alphabet ideology out of schools.

It was a great rant, and I agreed with almost every word. Yet it left me angry as well as satisfied, and I will tell you why in a bit. (Language Warning!)

Maher hit all the right notes: the entertainment industry IS filled with pedophiles, adults are sexualizing kids, kids ARE being groomed to become Queer, and Drag Queen Story Hour is perverted.

And Ron Desantis was right, and the only reason why the liberals denied it is that he is a Republican. Yep. Spot on.

So why am I still angry?

That last point gives it away: it takes Bill Maher permitting liberals to admit the obvious to get anybody to take these issues seriously, and that just isn't good enough.

Countless children have been and will be sacrificed to the alphabet gods for no other reason than liberals don't want to admit conservatives are right about anything. ...

It is a FACT that liberals will approve of pedophiles being given access to children because to do otherwise would confirm what conservatives say.

Think about how f'**ked up that is. They will let children be fondled by kiddie diddlers because admitting a Republican is right about an issue is a bridge too far.

We saw EXACTLY this when Sound of Freedom came out. There was a massive campaign to discredit the film and the idea of child sex trafficking for no other reason than Christians liked the film. It was as simple as that. We got the "Q-Anon" accusations. Suddenly, anybody worried about child sex trafficking was called a kook, despite several child sex trafficking rings being broken up WHILE THE CONTROVERSY was ongoing. 

The movie WAS BASED ON A TRUE STORY! But since conservatives liked the movie and that kids were being saved from sexual exploitation, it had to be discredited. There was a massive campaign to destroy the movie that thankfully failed.

We are a long way from alphabet ideology being driven out of society--in Blue states the momentum for it has GROWN as the rest of the world recoils in horror. ...

I have been told I am too angry, to which I say: YOU ARE NOT ANGRY ENOUGH. Horrible evils have been done. Millions stood by and enabled it, even justified it. You listened to all the "right" people, and they lied to you. Don't be angry at me; be angry at them. They did this. I tried to stop it. Get on board or get out of the way. ...

Yes Bill Maher, Sluts Should be Ashamed

Bill Maher is upset. In his pagan mind, now that a significant number of Americans are comfortable with same-sex marriage and legalized marijuana, he recently concluded, “it's time we knocked over the next social domino, Puritanism.”

So, according to Maher, what exactly is “Puritanism?” It seems that anyone or anything that would stand in the way of the sexual desires of any consenting adult would be guilty of Puritanism. For example, France has been in the headlines recently because “the boring guy they elected president last year turns out not to be so boring” (Maher’s words).

It turns out that President François Hollande never married the mother of his four children. He broke up with her a few years ago for a younger woman. As happens so often (amazing that so many first-time “mistresses” don’t figure this out—because if a man will leave the mother of his children, why wouldn’t he leave the next woman) in these matters, the younger woman was then dumped for an actress.

So what? concludes Maher, “the French just shrug and go back to eating snails.” Maher wonders why America can’t be more like France as he then gets to the point of his rant. He points out that newly elected Mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio was shamed into firing Lis Smith, who was in line to become de Blasio’s communications director.

Maher, oblivious to his moral ignorance and hypocrisy, asks, “Was it that she lied on her résumé? Or accepted gifts from a lobbyist? Or injected Alex Rodriguez with steroids? Nope. It's that she's dating Eliot Spitzer, America's evilest, horniest man.” Evidently in Maher’s perverted world, lying on a résumé, illegal gifts from lobbyists, and steroid use are bad things; but abandoning the mother of your children, whoring around with whatever is your current fancy, same-sex marriage, pot use, and the like are okay.

I wonder what moral code Maher and his like-minded pagan friends are using to reach these bizarre conclusions. (Actually, I don’t wonder at all, but I want you to think about it.) I also wonder how Maher would have felt if his father took the path of Hollande and abandoned him and his mother and sister during his youth. Or are such things okay only when they happen to someone else?

Maher’s morality is not only illogical and inconsistent, but is a great example of what happens when morality is defined by infallible (and ignorant, and foolish) humans. When it comes to de Blasio’s former aid, Maher asks, “[W]hat exactly is the sin here? She's an adult in a consensual relationship with another adult who’s in the process of divorcing his spouse.”

Well, the sins are fornication and adultery, for starters. I suppose at least it is encouraging that the word “sin” is still in Maher’s vocabulary. Of course, if we follow Maher’s morality (that whatever is done between “consenting adults” is okay) to its logical conclusion, prostitution, gambling of almost every form, polygamy and polyandry, pornography, almost every form of drug abuse, illegal payments—political and otherwise, and the like, should be not only legal, but moral as well.

Most of today’s liberals, at least those who craft and coach modern progressivism, are little more than present-day pagans. They are fulfilling well what occultist, bisexual, and habitual drug user Aleister Crowley described as the creed of modern paganism: “Do What Thou Wilt.”

Much to the thrill of today’s liberal, the great lure of paganism is that the moral demands are few. Such demands are decided by each individual, and thus we have the chaos that stems from moral relativism. What was once deemed shameful is now celebrated. Tragically, the secularism that is the fruit of modern liberalism has given us a culture that is bereft of shame. 

Thus it is a bit of a wonder that Maher and his pagan liberal friends have a problem with “slut shaming.” In fact, given today’s American culture, it’s a wonder that any form of “shaming” has an effect at all. Also, just like a “twerking” Miley Cyrus, males such as French President Hollande, or the NFL star with multiple children by multiple women, or the nice looking college boy out to hook-up as often as possible, should have their slutty behavior called out for what it is as well.

What’s more, not only can Maher be described as a pagan, but like his editorial friends at The New York Times, he is a fool. And I mean a fool in the Old Testament book of Proverbs sense of the word. In this sense, liberals like Maher are not feebleminded idiots; instead, they are morally corrupt and despise true wisdom. Being wise in their own eyes, in almost every way possible they have rebelled against God and His Word.

Such liberals have knowledge, and they crave the political power necessary to put it into practice. Sadly, too many Americans have given them this opportunity. Thus, many of us have learned the hard way what a British rock band (horribly) sang over 15 years ago, “Knowledge is a deadly friend, when no one sets the rules. The fate of all mankind I see is in the hands of fools.”

Radical Christianity vs. Radical Islam

Finally, Bill Maher got something right. Following the Boston bombings, Maher responded to Brian Levy, the director of the Center for the Study of Hate & Extremism at California State University in San Bernardino (a great example of needed reforms in public higher education), “[T]here's only one faith, for example, that kills you or wants to kill you if you draw a bad cartoon of the prophet. There’s only one faith that kills you or wants to kill you if you renounce the faith.”

There you have it. Even a flaming atheist can recognize the difference between a religion of peace and one full of bloodlust. The Tsarnaevs are just the most recent example of the tragic bitter fruit produced by radical Islamists. To further Maher’s point, consider and contrast the efforts of radical Islamists with those of radical Christians.

Just what is a “radical Christian”? Some might call them (with apologies to DC Talk) “Jesus Freaks.” Examples are all around us and most are virtually unknown outside of their home towns (mainly because they don’t make the news by killing other people). They plant churches, feed the poor, heal the sick; they open orphanages and pregnancy resource centers; they visit prisoners and deliver the oppressed; in other words, they have sold themselves out to be the hands and feet of the One they worship.

Some popular examples would include men like the late Jim Elliot, who served and evangelized the Quechua Indians, even though it cost him his life. Countless Christians have forsaken the comforts of Western civilization to go and fulfill the call of Christ. In other words, Christianity exports its radicals to bring life and hope, while much of Islam does so to bring death and despair.

Radical Christian and Habitat for Humanity founder Millard Fuller and his wife Linda started an organization “that has helped build or repair more than 600,000 houses and served more than 3 million people around the world.” The organization began in 1968, and the Fullers moved to Mbandaka, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) in 1973 to spread their mission of affordable housing to developing countries.

Meanwhile, Muslims in Pakistan recently burned nearly 200 Christian homes over the alleged blasphemy against Muhammad by a Christian sanitation worker. Coptic Christians continue to suffer under the “reforms” taking place in Egypt. The Coptic minority have been murdered and seen their homes, businesses, and churches looted and burned.

Radical Christians build hospitals. Radical Muslims seek to fill them up. Christians have led the world in caring for the sick and dying among us. As Virginia Health Information notes, “Some of the earliest hospitals existed in ancient Rome in 100 BC as important centers for the emergency care of sick and wounded soldiers. With the spread of Christianity, hospitals grew as part of the church's mission and became part of the community as they tended to health care not only for soldiers but also for all who needed it.”

The first hospital in North America, the Hospital de Jesus Nazareno, was founded by Cortés. The first hospital in the U.S, Pennsylvania Hospital, was founded by a Quaker, Dr. Thomas Bond (with the aid of Benjamin Franklin). The Catholic Church alone operates over 1,100 hospitals and long-term health care facilities in the U.S. What’s more, a 2010 study revealed that Christian hospitals in the U.S. outperform all others.

Radical Christians build schools. The world’s first university, birthed in 1088, was The University of Bologna in Italy. It was founded to teach canon (church) law. The second oldest university, The University of Paris, grew out of the cathedral schools of Notre-Dame and soon became a great center for Christian orthodox studies. Dr. Alvin J. Schmidt, in his book Under the Influence: How Christianity Transformed Civilization, points out that every college established in colonial America, except the University of Pennsylvania, was founded by some denomination of Christianity. He adds that, preceding the Civil War, 92 percent of the 182 colleges and universities in the U.S. were established by some branch of the church.

Radical Muslims attack young girls who merely want an education. In 2012 Taliban forces in Afghanistan were responsible for what was described as “an intentional act to poison schoolgirls.” More than 150 girls in northeastern Afghanistan suffered in the attack. “Every day [in fact, just the other day], you hear that somebody's thrown acid at a girl's face ... or they poison their water,” bemoaned the founder of a girls school outside Kabul.

According to the U.N., there were nearly 200 attacks on schools and hospitals in Afghanistan in 2011. In addition, radical Islamists also attack administrators who don’t conform to their ideas of what constitutes a proper education. According to Reuters, “Radical Muslims burst into a Tunisian school…and assaulted [nearly killing] its chief after he barred entry to a teenage girl wearing a niqab.”

Car bombs detonated by Muslim radicals have killed dozens in Somalia and Nigeria this year alone. Just last month, Muslim suicide bombers in Pakistan and Syria killed well over 100 people. Whether it’s bombing, burning, beheading, hacking, poisoning, or shooting, the list of Muslim violence is long and obscene.

Of course, the proper Christian response to such violence is never revenge. (However, justice is another matter.) As we look to be salt and light to those outside of Christianity—whether they be violent, mocking, or merely apathetic—we must never forget that Christ came, not to destroy lives, but to save them. This is why, when it comes to comparing radical Christians to radical Islamists, there is no comparison.
