MORE EVIDENCE That Christians Should NEVER Vote for Democrats!

Democrats are looking under the couch cushions for votes, so a new PAC has come up with a sure-fire strategy for harvesting a few: advertise on pornographic sites. 

It is absolutely disgusting that the Democrats’ strategy to overcome Kamala Harris’ problem with men is to claim Trump will ban porn. They are telling men *we are the party that will protect your porn.*

Pornography [tragically] is ubiquitous, so no doubt you will reach a lot of male voters this way. I doubt that the ones searching for heterosexual pornography will flock to Kamala Harris, though. Perhaps the PAC should consider limiting its expenditures to so-called "sissy" porn since that's who rolls with them.

 

I'm not, shall we say, thrilled with the normalization of pornography and am absolutely appalled at the celebration of it in the public square by the left. Human beings are fallen, so I understand that porn will always be with us. But it matters quite a bit whether it is kept in the shadows or paraded out in public, and it matters even more if it is embraced and celebrated as it has been lately. The left now encourages children to participate in sexually-charged events. ...

The Democratic Party now mocks any and all things sacred because they compete with and challenge their one sacred rite: sexual liberation. That's why Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (and Harris campaign co-chair) didn't think twice about mocking the Eucharist, playing a dominatrix priestess giving a Dorito communion to a sexual acolyte after doing a podcast about abortion.

...We have made progress waking people up. Ultimately, it will be the Democrats themselves who convince ordinary people to leave their party. It takes a lot to rewire a person's perceptions. But the Democrats are working hard to build the porn coalition, and most people don't want to be part of that. 

I hope most Americans don't want to be a part of the "porn coalition," but I have my doubts. I sure hope that proves to be the case with this election.

Serious, Sincere Christians Should Never Vote for a Democrat

I’ve reached that stage of life that, on occasion, I’m asked for life advice. My best, most succinct answer is this: Follow Jesus and don’t vote for Democrats. The reason for the former part of my statement is widely known, and the reason for the latter is simple: The Democrat Party is one of the greatest tools of Satan in the world today.

In spite of this, there is some foolish thing called “Evangelicals for Harris.” (Until the Democrat coup, they were known as “Evangelicals for Biden.”) This is supposedly an organization of Christians who have decided to vote for Kamala Harris for President of the United States because “Orange man bad,” and are encouraging other Christians, or, more likely so-called Christians, to do the same.

Support from one of Billy Graham’s grandchildren has recently brought the organization a bit of media attention. On their website, the anti-Trump group declares, “Evangelicals don’t have to change who they are, they just need to reaffirm who they are by voting for someone who better reflects Christian values.” That statement alone should completely disqualify “Evangelicals for Harris” from any serious consideration by any sincere Christian.

The Democrat Party—especially the national leadership—is almost completely devoid of anything that “reflects Christian values.” As I have often noted, and as we saw with slavery in nineteenth century America, the modern Democrat Party is on the wrong side of virtually every significant moral issue of our time.

Democrats have long been wrong on sex, wrong on marriage, wrong on life, wrong on the family, wrong on economics, wrong on the climate, wrong on crime and punishment, wrong on immigration, wrong on faith, and so on. And they haven’t merely been wrong, Democrats have made numerous laws and enacted countless policies rooted in their many wrongs.

Most of these laws and policies are in clear and direct contradiction to what Christianity teaches. For example, the truth on marriage—that it is only the union of one man and one woman for life—is one of the oldest truths in the history of humanity. Very early in Scripture (Genesis chapter two), God reveals the truth on marriage.

Also, marriage is the oldest institution in the history of humanity—older than God’s covenant with the nation of Israel, older than The Law, older than the church. If ANYTHING is true, marriage as the union of one man and one woman is true. Yet, five justices on the U.S. Supreme Court corrupted by a liberal worldview redefined marriage in U.S. law for all of America. Never have so few destroyed so much in America in such a short time. (Recall, there was no hand wringing in the drive-by media over this profound but very narrow ruling.)

About the only fact in human history older than marriage is the truth on what is a male and what is a female. Yet again, Democrats across America deny this plain, simple truth and insist on forcing the rest of us—again, via the courts, legislatures, and executive branches—to accommodate and even affirm their wicked lies and perversions in this grave matter.

This evil hasn’t merely resulted in men and boys taking trophies and prizes from female athletes. Unsuspecting, naïve, and deceived children are being mutilated in the name of this perversion and Democrats are insisting on even enforcing disagreeing parents to play along! What’s more, government, military, corporate, and educational policies are being changed to accommodate democrat delusions on who is a male and who is a female.

Likewise, Democrats continue to insist on enforcing their “green energy” fantasies on the rest of the U.S. It seems most American Democrats are more committed to their green agenda than they anything within Christianity. The only “leadership” revealed on the website for “Evangelicals for Harris” shows Jim Ball. His bio on the page declares,

The Rev. Jim Ball, Ph.D., is author of Global Warming and the Risen LORD.  For 20 years he formerly served as a senior executive in a Christian environmental organization.  The architect of the “What Would Jesus Drive” educational campaign and the key organizer and national spokesperson for the Evangelical Climate Initiative, Jim has testified before Congress and appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America, Fox, CNN, and NPR. He has been featured in the New York Times, and honored by Rolling Stone magazine as one of their environmental “Warriors and Heroes,” and by Time magazine as one of its climate change “innovators.”

Mr. Ball sounds like a reverend in the “New Religion of the First World Elites.” In other words, he sounds more like he’s devoted to the Church of Climate Change than he is to Christianity. Of course, Democrats have foolishly attempted sweeping change in U.S. energy policy in the name of “saving the planet” from false idea that man-caused climate change is harming it.

Of all the Democrat’s bad ideas, there is likely none that’s more financially devastating than an attempted (it can’t really happen) transition to “green energy.” What the failed Biden-Harris administration has already “accomplished” in this area of the American economy has been a considerable burden to U.S. citizens. Higher gas prices have plagued the Biden-Harris administration and have significantly contributed to inflation throughout the U.S.

These are merely three examples of what Democrats and their foolish anti-Christian, anti-capitalist, pro-authoritarian policies have done to America. The harm to our country and culture wrought by the Democrat Party is near-immeasurable and massively immoral, and Christians should have nothing to do with it.

Hey Ted Liu: In the Marriage Debate, Better Tears Now Than Tears Later

While passionately pleading with her U.S. House colleagues to reject the wicked, and grossly misnamed, “Respect for Marriage Act,” (RFMA) GOP Representative [Rep.] Vicki Hartzler (MO) broke down in tears:

In spite of her pleas, the House passed RFMA with only—but far from united—GOP opposition. This abominable law, which seeks to codify same-sex “marriage” into federal law, is yet another egregious attack on the truth by those dedicated to the theology of self. What’s more, it is a direct attack against the U.S. Constitution. As Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) recently put it, “It’s an absolute abomination with respect to … religious liberty.” In other words, the emotion shown by Rep. Hartzler was quite appropriate.

Nevertheless, liberals mocked and belittled Rep. Hartzler’s heartfelt display of emotion on this very grave issue. Democrat Rep. Ted Liu tweeted, “Want to see tears of hate? Watch the speech below. This MAGA Republican is so hateful of other human beings experiencing the joys of marriage and love that she shed tears of hate.”

Of course, no one should be surprised by Liu’s reaction to Rep. Hartzler’s tears. Mr. Liu simply again reminds us that most LGBT apologists—especially those elected—aren’t interested in any serious dialogue with anyone who refuses to bow to their evil agenda. Yet, this was far from how they presented their cause merely a few years ago.

As the left sought full legalization of homosexual behavior throughout the U.S., we were often told that homosexuals merely wanted to be “left alone” and free from the threat of punishment from the government for what went on “in the privacy of one’s home.”

As laws against homosexual behavior disappeared throughout America, the LGBT agenda set its perverse sites on the oldest institution in the history of humanity: marriage. Again, we were told that homosexuals merely wanted the same “rights” as heterosexuals. Alas, as I warned ago (more than once!), “live and let live” is not a hallmark of the homosexual agenda.

Nearly two decades ago—a decade prior to 2015’s infamous Obergefell ruling—Doug Kmiec, professor of constitutional law at Pepperdine University, participated in a conference on marriage sponsored by Becket Law and wrote,

Were federal equal protection or substantive due process to be construed to require states to license same-sex marriage, those who have profound moral or religious objection to the social affirmation of homosexual conduct would be argued to be the out-liers of civil society.

Therefore, he argued that churches could be targeted for legal penalties and disadvantages as were universities that participated in racial discrimination in the early to mid-twentieth century. Kmiec added that, “This is hardly a far-fetched (idea), as apparently one of the main aspirations of the homosexual movement is retaliation against the defenders of traditional marriage.”

Thus, I concluded in 2014,

There you have it. Ultimately this debate isn’t about marriage or “discrimination.” This is an attempt, using the power of the American legal system, to force moral legitimization of homosexual behavior upon the American people. And it is about revenge upon all those—past and present—who have stood, and continue to stand, in the way of such “progress.”

The dubious “Respect for Marriage Act” is likely to be merely another—albeit powerful—tool with which to attack right-minded Christians who refuse to budge on what is marriage. And take note Christian, as well as those like-minded: it often matters very little how meek and mild you make your case. As Rep. Liu again proves, if you stand for the truth on marriage, the LGBT faithful will almost certainly attack you. You will be called “hateful” and much worse, and you may even suffer physical harm.

Despite these threats and very real dangers, those who know the truth on sex and marriage are to stand strong and continue the fight. We must never give in when it comes to the truth on sex and marriage. In the transgender debate—which is the tragic, yet logical result of having to debate what is marriage—and the corresponding absurd issue of “correct pronouns,” biologist and author Colin Wright gets it exactly right:

I cannot stress this enough—DO NOT comply with pronoun exchange rituals. Activists know that being the only person objecting to pronoun exchanges is awkward. That's the point. They want you to mumble their acts of worship and be their unwitting evangelist. Don't do it.

Mr. Wright adds, “They will tell you you’re making a big deal out of nothing. But you’re not. You’re refusing to be a vector for a very infectious and harmful mind virus.” The same thing is true in the marriage debate. Never give in to the absurdity that marriage is anything but the union of one man and one woman for life. What is marriage is just as important and foundational to a sound society as what is a male and what is a female.

After the U.S. House passed the RFMA, in an attempt to call out the 169 republicans that voted against it, Rep. Liu tweeted, “The majority of House Republicans are on the wrong side of history.” Never fear that you might be “on the wrong side of history,” for it is far better to be on the right side of the truth than on the right side of history.

When time ends, history—and mankind’s account of it—will matter little. What will matter is what is the truth, and did I embrace it or did I reject it. In the end, there will be many bitter tears for those who reject the truth.

Woke Coke is No Joke (and Nothing New)

As much as conservatives in America love capitalism, many U.S. capitalists sure seem to hate conservatives—especially Christian conservatives. On virtually every issue important to conservatives of all stripes, large U.S. corporations (“Big Corp” for this column) stand opposed—almost unanimously!—to American conservatives.  

In other words, to the detriment of America and the truth, Big Corp has gone “woke.” Coca-Cola provides the most recent and egregious example of gross corporate wokeness. According to a whistleblower, Coca-Cola is forcing its employees to complete online training that instructs them on “What it Means to Be White” and how to “Try and be less white.”  

This racist training declares that, 

To be less white is to:  

be less oppressive 

be less arrogant 

be less certain 

be less defensive 

be less ignorant 

be more humble 

listen 

believe 

break with apathy 

break with white solidarity …  

No doubt this garbage is directly the result of Coca-Cola bowing to the evil efforts of the “woke” army of Black Lives Matter (BLM) and the like. As Al Perrotta recently put it, “Of course, it’s doubtful anybody with any brains in Coca-Cola’s leadership really believes such racist, divisive gibberish. But they do believe the Woke Warriors won’t let them rest until they push this poison onto their employees.”  

Thanks in large part to Big Corp, as cities were looted and burned across America in 2020, BLM raked in tens of millions of dollars. As reported last year by Jordan Davidson at The Federalist, Amazon, Pepsi’s Gatorade, Microsoft, Warner Records, Intel, and numerous other members of Big Corp helped to line the stuffed coffers at BLM. Of course, this will do nothing if not embolden BLM and its allies to continue their violent, destructive, and grifting ways. In addition, the lavish funding of BLM will further promote their racist agenda. None of this is good for America.  

Coca-Cola is far from alone when it comes to its corporate “wokeness.” Under Armour has also recently come under fire for forcing employees to endure “anti-white diversity training videos.” Long before “woke” and its derivatives entered our lexicon, Big Corp had surrendered to the agenda of the modern left. Decades ago, Big Corp quickly got on the bandwagons of the radical pro-abortion agenda, the perverse LGBT agenda, and so on.  

According to very recent polling by Echelon Insights, the top issues for republicans (yes, not all republicans are reliably conservative, but virtually all conservatives vote republican) that are a “problem for the country” are (in order of importance):  

·         Illegal immigration 

·         Lack of support for the police 

·         High taxes 

·         Liberal bias in the mainstream media 

·         General moral decline of the country 

·         Socialism 

·         Antifa violence 

·         China 

·         Legal abortion in the third trimester 

·         Election fraud 

·         Tech company censorship 

·         Discrimination against Christians 

Other than perhaps “high taxes” (and even this means something different to individual conservatives than it means to Big Corp) there’s not an issue in this list that Big Corp has taken a stand on that is favorable to conservatism. For example, “Corporate Supremacists”—as Brian Schuster described them in 2018—“love mass immigration.” What he means is they love illegal immigration. One reason for this is, as Schuster put it,  

A steady stream of immigrants means a steady stream of competition for jobs. Workers generate profit for multinational corporations, and the cheaper a company’s labor costs are, the more profit is left over for the corporate supremacists at workers’ expense. 

Just after the 2020 Presidential Election, the New York Post reported that “Big Tech” began lobbying the incoming Biden administration to “reverse President Trump’s stricter immigration policies.” According to the Post, “rescinding Trump’s [immigration] actions is the industry’s top priority next year.”  

Media corporations that are part of Big Corp are the main reason that conservatives are concerned about “liberal bias in the mainstream media.” Because this bias helps to further the left’s agenda, other members of Big Corp play along. In fact, in attempts to censor conservatives, many of them have sometimes engaged in advertising boycotts.  

Tragically, hundreds of members of Big Corp—including Amazon, Apple, AT&T, Best Buy, Capital One, Chevron, Citigroup, Coca-Cola, Dell, Delta Airlines, Dominos, E-TRADE, Food Lion, General Motors, Google, Hershey, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Kellogg, MasterCard, Mattel, Microsoft, Netflix, Nike, PepsiCo, Sony, Starbucks, Target, Texas Instruments, Uber, and many others—have thrown their support behind the evil—and misnamed—“Equality Act.” Thanks to democrat control and the support of Big Corp, this abomination recently passed the U.S. House. Perhaps more than any other collection of words in recent history, the “Equality Act” epitomizes the “general moral decline” of America.  

As many others have already noted, the evil “Equality Act” promotes anything but “equality.” Among other disastrous consequences, if the “Equality Act” becomes law, it would make criminals out of those who live according to the biblical (and biological) view of who is a male and who is a female; it would gut religious liberty and compel speech; it would ruin women’s and girls’ sports; it would endanger women and girls; it would allow for children to be taken from their parents, and so on. Yet Big Corp finds all of this not only acceptable, but necessary. 

Clearly these “woke” corporations have forgotten their foundations and forgotten what allows for their continued existence and prosperity. They have forgotten—or choose to ignore—that they could only have prospered as they have in the United States of America. Most importantly, they have forgotten God and His law. As I point out in The Miracle and Magnificence of America, the United States is the world’s most enduring constitutional republic and the world’s most powerful and prosperous nation—which has produced the world’s largest and wealthiest corporations—because our Founders rightly feared God and dually embraced the principles of Christianity and free market capitalism (as espoused by Adam Smith in The Wealth of Nations).

Many liberals in America—including many now in D.C. —would’ve long ago shredded the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution endures because it is worth conserving, and from the beginning of this great nation, conservatives in America have long understood that fact. If anything is worth conserving it is those things that have been settled for all time, and more than any other governing document written by mankind, the U.S. Constitution embraces this notion. 

Again, to the great detriment of America (or any nation) “wokeness” is a war on the truth. Like individuals, corporations embrace this deadly ideology because they ignore God and go their own way. As has been the case for all time, if we want this to change, we need revival and repentance in our corporate boardrooms.

God’s Anointed Leader Isn’t Always Who We Expect

Much has been spoken and written lately regarding the evangelical community’s feelings toward President Trump, especially since the Christianity Today editorial calling for his removal from office was published last month. Many evangelicals continue to support him wholeheartedly because he has proven repeatedly that he can be trusted to keep his campaign promises and to govern faithfully and conservatively. Others vow never to support him because they feel that he “embodies the anti-Christian ethic.”

President Trump certainly has a “colorful” past, and that is the key reason that I did not support him in the republican presidential primary of 2016. I just couldn’t imagine a man of his moral failings representing this nation and becoming the leader of the free world. However, when it ultimately came down to a choice between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton on November 8, it was a no-brainer. I would have crawled on my hands and knees to the polls, if necessary, to vote against her. And that’s exactly what my vote was at that time—a vote against Hillary Clinton.

It turns out, however, that millions of us who held our noses and voted for Trump have been quite pleasantly surprised by his ardent support of the values and policies that we hold dear. He has been the most pro-life president in the history of our nation, and he was the first president ever to attend the annual March for Life on Capitol Hill. He has been a true friend to small business owners; he has appointed hundreds of wonderful federal judges; he is defending religious liberty; he is improving our international trade relationships; and among many other accomplishments, he is making our military stronger and our nation safer. Despite all of these successes, many persist in demanding the removal of President Trump because they dislike how he conducts himself.

For many evangelicals, the decision to vote for and to continue to support Donald Trump essentially boils down to this: he operates from the Republican Party platform, which represents life, liberty, and conservative, Judeo-Christian values. Whoever his Democrat opponent turns out to be in November, that person will stand on the Democrat Party platform, which is immoral, anti-Christian, anti-God, anti-life, and anti-freedom. Seems pretty clear and simple.

My church went through a study in 2019 called OT19, in which we read much of the Old Testament together. The very same week that the Christianity Today editorial calling for Trump’s removal was published, our assigned reading included Isaiah chapters 44 and 45. In these chapters, the Israelites were captives in Babylon, and God used a non-Israelite, a Persian king named Cyrus, to free His people from captivity and rebuild the temple in Jerusalem.

Speaking to Cyrus, God said,

For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know that there is none besides me (Isaiah 45:4-5) [emphasis mine].

I see some parallels between God’s anointing of the Persian King Cyrus and the election of President Donald Trump. Cyrus clearly was not a follower of God, but God anointed him and gave him a “title of honor.” Donald Trump has not historically been a follower of God either, yet God has also bestowed on him a title of honor and given him the role of shepherding the most influential and powerful nation in the history of the world.

There has been much debate about whether President Trump is truly a Christian and whether he is “morally fit” to lead our nation. He certainly has moral shortcomings, as we all have. It is true that only God can judge the hearts of men, but hundreds of trusted evangelical leaders all over the nation, who have spent time with President Trump and advised him and prayed over him, continue to defend and support him. Regardless of Trump’s true spiritual condition, which none of us can know with certainty, God has shown clearly in His Word that He can and will use both people who honor and serve Him and people who do not in order to accomplish His purposes on this earth. When God anointed the foreign, heathen Persian King Cyrus, He said about him, “He is my shepherd and will accomplish all that I please” (Isaiah 44:28).

Cyrus was the tool that God used to bring deliverance and restoration to the Jews thousands of years ago. God has continued to use all sorts of flawed and morally deficient people—Moses, Samson, Rahab, and Paul are just a few examples—down through the centuries, because He is God and He knows best.

God doesn’t need our permission or approval to put His choice of shepherd over us to accomplish His purposes. His ways are higher than our ways, and we can’t always understand with our finite minds what He is doing in this world. However, we can see when good and moral fruit is coming from the White House, as it certainly seems to be now. I, for one, am abundantly thankful for the shepherd who has been anointed to watch over our nation. Our responsibility is to continue to pray for our president to make wise decisions. He has the weight of the world on his shoulders, and we, like Aaron and Hur, should help to hold up his hands when he grows weary (Exodus 17:10-13).

It’s Time for More Christians to Get “Sexually Explicit”

Writing about sexual morality in the mid-twentieth century, C.S. Lewis concluded that the world’s “great relaxation and simplifying” of the rules of modesty, or standards of propriety, while not necessarily a bad thing, presents this “inconvenience:” “people of different ages and different types do not all acknowledge the same standard, and [thus] we hardly know where we are.”

Lewis goes on to point out:

There is no getting away from it: the old Christian rule is, “Either marriage, with complete faithfulness to your partner, or else total abstinence.” Now this is so difficult and so contrary to our instincts, that obviously either Christianity is wrong or our sexual instinct, as it now is [remember, “now” was the mid-twentieth century], has gone wrong. One or the other. Of course, being a Christian, I think it is the instinct which has gone wrong.

Of course, Lewis was—and is—right. Note that our sexual instinct has gone so wrong that Lewis’s clear declaration of Christian sexual morality—published in one of the greatest works of modern apologetics, Mere Christianity—is now, in the early twenty-first century, somewhat insufficient. This is because the God-haters, and those otherwise devoted to a “theology of self,” have now perverted the oldest institution in the history of humanity—marriage.

In other words, we are today so far removed from the “same standard” when it comes to matters in the sexual realm that many in the world today have little to no idea “where we are” on marriage. If he were writing or speaking today, Lewis would need to clarify that, by “marriage,” he means the biblical definition of marriage. Tragically, this would be the case even if his audience were church-going Americans.

No other issue today has so divided Christendom than matters concerning homosexuality. Even the Roe v. Wade decision—which, in 1973, legalized abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy—did not so quickly or so decidedly corrupt Christians, Christianity, and the church as has the evil LGBT agenda.

As recently as just over a decade ago—2009—U.S. states were 31 for 31 in their rejection of same-sex “marriage.” Whenever an electorate was given a choice, by an average rate of more than two to one—67.5% to 32.5%—American voters said no to same-sex “marriage” and yes to marriage as defined in Scripture.

As I noted at the time, the rejection of gay marriage occurred not only in conservative states, but in some very liberal ones as well, such as Maine, California, Oregon, and Hawaii. Purple states such as Ohio, Colorado, and Nevada have also soundly rejected gay marriage. Barely over a decade ago, across the U.S., from the Deep South to the Northeast to the Midwest to the West coast, Americans united behind biblical marriage.

According to Pew Research Center, in 2004, Americans opposed same-sex “marriage” by a margin of 60% to 31%. By 2019, those numbers had been almost exactly reversed. According to Pew, Americans now support same-sex “marriage” by a margin of 61% to 31%. Gallup polling shows similar trends on same-sex “marriage.” According to Gallup, in 1996 Americans opposed the legalization of same-sex “marriage” 68% to 27%. By 2019, Gallup showed Americans supporting same-sex “marriage” 63% to 36%.

How did this happen? How was there such a vast reversal on homosexuality and marriage in such a short period of time? Several things were at work in order to get millions of Americans to abandon long-held views on marriage: an organized and determined LGBT agenda, a vast and like-minded media, like-minded federal judges, the Democrat Party, and most tragically, churches unwilling or unequipped to fight for the truth on these grave issues.

It is a common misperception that churches—and Christians in general—spend a lot of time talking about sex. Last year, Decision magazine—a publication of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association—reported that,

The Bible is very clear in its teaching about two of the most controversial issues we face today—homosexuality and abortion. According to researcher George Barna, 90 percent of pastors recognize that the Bible speaks to these issues. But fewer than 10 percent are actually teaching what the Bible says about them!

Given the rampant sexual sin in our culture—much of it leading to death (abortion, disease, and the like)—and the significance of marriage—the lifetime union of one man and one woman—one would think that pastors, Sunday school teachers, church youth leaders, evangelists, Christian media, Christian politicians, Christian celebrities, Christian parents, and the like, would give great time and effort to telling the truth on what are undoubtedly some of the most important moral issues of our time. Sadly, I believe this has not been the case, and it’s time for this to change.

Now, perhaps more than at any other moment in history, it’s time for Christians to be explicitly—even graphically—clear that the only rightful place for sex is within marriage. This is especially the case when it comes to our young people. Christians must be explicitly clear that marriage is only the lifelong union of one man and one woman (as revealed “in the beginning!”). Christians must be explicitly clear that any deviation from these truths—whether homosexuality, “shacking up,” fornication, pornography, etc. is sin.

These truths must be loudly and plainly proclaimed in pulpits, classrooms, living rooms, board rooms, legislative houses, and the like. Decades of shying away from telling such truths is one of the biggest reasons why we are where we are on sexual matters in our culture. It’s not just the media, the courts, corporations, and much of our government who have become agents of the enemy in this fight. Even the church itself has fallen to corruption as the result of sexual sin.

The Methodist Church sits on the verge of a massive split because so many Methodists are completely lost when it comes to sexual sin. Many other denominations and individual congregations have recently seen similar splits over sexual sin. As C.S. Lewis’s fictional demon Screwtape taught us, this is what results when fewer and fewer Americans are willing “to contend with the explicit repentance of a definite, fully recognized, sin.”

When the church becomes so corrupted, there’s no doubt that even further corruption awaits the culture. Not long after many so-called Christians embraced same-sex “marriage,” America soon descended even further into the pit of sexual sin. Along with debating what is marriage, truth-loving Americans now have to debate and defend the truth on who is a male and who is a female!

As a result of the evil “transgender” agenda, in a matter of only a handful of years we have seen males take trophies from females, men and boys invade women’s and girl’s bathrooms and locker rooms, people facing prison, fines, or job loss because of the supposed misuse of pronouns, government schools embracing “transgenderism,” government libraries hosting “Drag Queen Story Hour,” corporations promoting “transgender” lies, the demand for tampons in men’s rooms, state taxpayers forced to pay for “transgender” surgeries (dozens of democrat-led states now force this ignorant evil on taxpayers), and so on (for a comprehensive list of such evil, see here).

Again, where is the church on this grave matter? I’m sure that most Christians never imagined that they would have to defend the truth about something a child can be made to understand, but this is where the world is, and we must meet it there, with the truth. To my fellow believers, I say, properly equip yourselves, and get in this battle!

Sex: The Supreme Issue in the City of Man

It has come to pass, that though there are very many and great issues facing our great nation—issues with marked differences—for far too many on today’s left, nothing is of greater importance than matters that impact their efforts at “four [or more] bare legs in a bed.” Like the Epicureans centuries ago, modern liberals have concluded that humanity’s highest good is achieved in physical pleasure—especially sex.

If this wasn’t clear before the election of Donald Trump, no less than the day after President Trump took office, Hillary’s hedonists made sure we understood what really matters to those who, as Augustine put it, “wish to live after the flesh.” Remember the “March of the Nasty Women?” Or maybe you recall it as the “P*ssy Riot.” Whatever designation you prefer, on January 21, 2017, hundreds of thousands of vagina-obsessed fools paraded around D.C. in their vagina hats, displaying their vulgar posters, and again reminded most everyone why Donald Trump won the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

And they continue to remind us. Whether demanding that men be allowed into women’s restrooms, that girls be allowed into boys’ clubs, that boys be allowed to take trophies from girls, that we fix homosexual infertility; whether rampant STDs (and the sick celebration of such sickness), rampant pornography use, girls with penises, little boys as drag queens, drag queen story time, pronoun bullying, normalizing pedophilia, celebrating bestiality; and of course, whether killing children in the womb, or legally redefining the oldest institution in the history of humanity, liberals have time and again demonstrated themselves to be firmly entrenched in the “City of Man.”

In his historic and magnificent work, City of God, Augustine declares that there are “no more than two kinds of human society…The one consists of those who wish to live after the flesh [those who reside in the ‘City of Man’], the other of those who wish to live after the spirit [those who reside in the ‘City of God’].” Though Augustine was clear that the “works of the flesh” are not merely sexual in nature, he also makes clear that those who are slaves to sexual lust cannot occupy the City of God.

Only a slave to lust could produce an ad entitled “Protect Our Freedom to F*ck.” It’s too vulgar to provide a link. The title, along with the knowledge that the ad comes from Planned Parenthood of New York, is enough for any discerning person to understand just how vulgar is the ad. However, LifeSite News provides a good description, noting “it’s a surreal blend of slavish adherence to the current politically-correct orthodoxy and a complete surrender to senseless vulgarity.”

Like the “nasty” women’s march, or virtually any Hollywood award show, or most every Black Lives Matter gathering, the outrageous Planned Parenthood ad is just another ugly liberal temper tantrum. This time the fit was in response to President Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. There were plenty of other similar meltdowns over Kavanaugh’s nomination.

Why the ugly outrage over the courts? Because what the court has given, the court can take away. And for decades, the courts have been a great ally to liberals and their agenda—especially their wicked sexual agenda. Most all of the angry hysterics over President Trump’s nomination of Judge Kavanaugh have been driven by the fear that courts will take away the legal cover they’ve long provided for abortion and the perverse LGBT agenda.

Of course, because such legal matters would be in the hands of the states (and legislators and voters)—where they belong—a reversal of Roe, Obergefell, and the like, would do little to eliminate abortion and sexual perversion from our culture. Thus, whatever the result of Kavanaugh’s ascension to the Supreme Court, our battles in these grave matters will continue.

However, liberals don’t see it this way. They see any reversal by the courts of any tenet of their “highest good” as an attack on their “right” to rule their own world. This is really the heart of the matter in our moral wars. In other words, the question before us is: Should we live according to our own rules and laws, or is there a higher standard to which we are held personally accountable and upon which our human laws should rest?

Instead of one who lives “after the flesh,” a more apt description of an inhabitant of the City of Man—one that Augustine also employs—is one who “lives according to himself”—or one who wants the “freedom” to rule his own world. Augustine notes that this makes mankind “like the devil. For the devil too, wished to live according to himself when he did not abide in the truth.”

Thus the City of God vs. the City of Man is a conflict rooted in competing notions of truth. The satanic City of Man is filled with those who wish to live “according to themselves,” while the City of God contains those who live “according to God.”

Along with the pervasive infection of sexual sin in our culture at large, the enemy of mankind has used sexual deceit to divide even the church. Virtually every conflict over dogma in the church today is due to the lies of the enemy on matters in the sexual realm. In a sad attempt to redefine truth, leftist Christians—if there is even such a thing—have made widespread compromise with the truth on sex.

For years now we’ve had churches willing to embrace same-sex “marriage,” and even promote the killing of children in the womb. So-called “clergy” have now stooped so low as to make preparations for making abortion available in the pews. Of course, to do such evil, the Bible has to be effectively ignored—and it is. Tragically, because of the fear to embrace fully what God has revealed when it comes to sex, even those in the evangelical church are seeking to distance themselves from the Word of God.

Ironically, modern liberals have long accused conservatives—especially Christian conservatives—of being obsessed with sex. Yet, as we can plainly see, it is liberals who are consumed with the lustful desire to have their way in the sexual realm. For the most part, it’s why they hate President Trump, it’s why they hate the GOP, it’s why they hate conservatives, and it’s especially why they hate Christians and Christianity.

A Near-100% Guarantee on Preventing STDs

Despite being sexually active for over two decades,—I know, “TMI,” but you can hardly discuss sex and not have a little “TMI”—my wife and I have never spent even five seconds worrying about, or one dime preventing or treating an STD. This is chiefly due to the fact that our sexual activity exactly corresponds to our marriage years. We’re teaching our four children—ages 9, 12, 14, and 16—that if they conduct themselves similarly, they too will never have to ponder preventing or treating an STD.

For us, “conducting themselves similarly” means adhering to what God has said about sexual behavior. Namely, that the only rightful place for sex is within marriage. And marriage (How tragic that this even has to be said!) is ONLY the lifetime union of one man and one woman. That either of these statements is shocking or controversial—or even revealing—only goes to show how corrupt our culture has become when it comes to sexual morality.

Among other tragic outcomes, this corruption has led to an STD epidemic in the U.S. As I noted recently (more than once), according to The New York Times, a shocking 110 million Americans—more than one-third of our population—has an STD. A recent Drudge headline declared “STDs run rampant in USA.” The headline linked to a piece that reported on the “incredibly alarming numbers” of STDs in California.

Those were not the words of a reporter, but of Heidi Bauer, chief of the STD control branch of the California Department of Public Health. She added that the STD numbers in California amounted to “an epidemic.” Of course, Bauer’s solutions to their STD problem are the typical liberal California claptrap—i.e. condoms and cash.

According to Dr. Bauer—as is virtually always the case in these sad situations with those corrupted by liberalism—the solution to what ails us involves more money and bigger government. Along with blaming a lack of funding for public health programs for California’s rise in STDs, Dr. Bauer also blamed “the funneling of patients away from public health services toward primary care physicians.”

Of course, teaching kids the proper use of a condom is standard operating procedure for liberals when it involves anything dangerous in the sexual realm. According to The Daily Californian,

The STD Control Branch is approaching intervention through three different avenues: mandating sexual education in public schools, working with medical providers to ensure comprehensive STI testing and encouraging local health departments to ensure treatment for patients who test positive, according to Bauer.

The type of sex education The People’s Republic of Kalifornia would like to “mandate”—among other perverse things—provides a “sexual health toolkit” that is funded in part by the George Soros-connected Tides Center. According to Life Site News, this “toolkit”—among many other perverse things—“offers kids tips on using sex toys and anal lubricant. It defines ‘anal intercourse, ‘phone sex,’ and more as ‘common sexual behaviors’” and even has a section entitled “Wetter Makes It Better.”

In line with those who believe we have the right to rule our own world, the toolkit—or more aptly, “foolkit”—also tell kids that they may “[Have] Sex on Your Own Terms.” To clarify what this means, youngsters are provided with a “Relationship Bill of Rights.” This tells kids—kids!—that they have the “right” to:

• Trust my feelings. 
• Be with who I want, when I want, and how I want. 
• Have sex when my partner AND I both want to. 

Is there any doubt that California’s—as well as the rest of America’s—STD epidemic is the result of such immoral information? Dr. Bauer also ignorantly concluded that California’s STD epidemic is “not confined to any particular group,” and she emphasized that the increases are across the board.

I can almost guarantee you that this is not true. As is the case across the rest of the world, there’s one group of Californians that are virtually STD free: monogamous, married (again: one man and one woman), early-committed Christians. In other words, those who decided—almost certainly because this was taught to them and modeled for them by their loving parents (a mother and a father)—prior to, or early in their teenage years, to follow Jesus and adhere to His teachings on sex.

This means celibacy unless married, and once married, complete sexual faithfulness to one’s spouse. If you live your life in such a way, it is nearly impossible to get an STD. This is not an easy path—especially in our sex-saturated culture—but as you’ve often heard, few things worthwhile are easy.

An STD-free life is just another peaceful and healthy benefit of the Christian lifestyle. And yes, Christians are generally healthier. This is a guiding principle behind the increasingly popular and growing number of Christian-based health insurance alternatives. These “health-care sharing groups” (my wife’s sister and her husband recently joined one) are marketed to “committed Christians” who must commit to, among other wise things, refraining from homosexual activity and extramarital sex.

As the left continues to force its immorality on the rest of us, don’t be surprised to see these types of healthcare alternatives grow even more popular. Thus, as almost always is the case in these situations, don’t be a bit surprised to see the left target these organizations. After all, remember, part of the goal of the left is complete acceptance of their perverse sexual agenda and vengeance upon all of those who resist.

Of course, one can be celibate, faithfully monogamous, STD-free, and otherwise healthy without being a Christian. However, outside of a faithful walk with our Creator, the immoral and dangerous sexual lifestyle of those corrupted by liberalism looms as a nearly irresistible temptation. In addition, no moral code has proved better than Christianity at producing a healthy, productive, responsible, and moral individual and society.

Chicken Fried Hate

As has been well documented lately, the left is hating on Chick-fil-A…again. No one should be surprised by this hate, least of all, Chick-fil-A. Back in 2012, Chick-fil-A became a prime target of the left when its then President and Chief Operating Officer Dan Cathy—son of founder Truett Cathy, and now the Chairman and CEO of Chick-fil-A—gave a benign interview to Baptist Press (the Cathys are long-time members of New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville, GA).

The following exchange between Mr. Cathy and Baptist Press is what first drew the ire of the left.

The company [Chick-fil-A] invests in Christian growth and ministry through its WinShape Foundation (WinShape.com). The name comes from the idea of shaping people to be winners.

It began as a college scholarship and expanded to a foster care program, an international ministry, and a conference and retreat center modeled after the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove.

“That morphed into a marriage program in conjunction with national marriage ministries,” Cathy added.

Some have opposed the company's support of the traditional family. “Well, guilty as charged,” said Cathy when asked about the company's position.

“We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.

“We operate as a family business ... our restaurants are typically led by families; some are single. We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that,” Cathy emphasized. [Emphasis mine.]

“We intend to stay the course,” he said. “We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles.”

Note that Mr. Cathy didn’t mention politics, political parties, legislation, the courts, or anything that could be deemed political. He didn’t make reference to any organizations other than his own business and charity. Neither did he say anything about homosexuality or same-sex “marriage.” Nevertheless, and predictably, the left still decided to make an example out of the fast-food icon.

Apologists for the LGBT agenda attempted to organize a nationwide homosexual “kiss-in” to take place at Chick-fil-A restaurants. LGBT enforcers within the Democrat Party took notice of Cathy’s modest attempt to spread the truth on marriage and family. They were not about to let even the least amount of light shine into their darkness. As CNN noted,

Philadelphia City Councilman James Kenney sent a letter to Cathy this week, telling the CEO in blunt terms to “take a hike and take your intolerance with you,” and vowing to introduce a resolution at the next council meeting condemning the company.

“There is no place for this type of hate in our great City of Brotherly and Sisterly Affection,” Kenney wrote.

San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee tweeted: “Closest #ChickFilA to San Francisco is 40 miles away & I strongly recommend that they not try to come any closer.”

In Chicago, Alderman Joe Moreno has been working for months to block construction of a Chick-fil-A in his district, citing traffic congestion and worry about the company's “business practices.”

Mayor Emanuel, a Democrat, said this week that “Chick-fil-A's values are not Chicago values. They're not respectful of our residents, our neighbors and our family members.”

And in Boston, where Chick-fil-A is considering opening a location, Mayor Thomas Menino, also a Democrat, made it clear the chain would not be welcome.

“I don't want an individual who will continue to advocate against people's rights. That's who I am and that's what Boston's all about,” he said.

After this heat from the left, Mr. Cathy did what some considered a bit of a retreat—or even a “sell out”—in his efforts to spread the truth on marriage and the family. The left-media took notice and wrote headlines like “Chick-fil-A promises to stop giving money to anti-gay groups.” Homosexual activists claimed to have been shown tax records that indicated “Chick-fil-A had pulled its support of groups opposing gay marriage - including the Family Research Council, the Eagle Forum and Exodus International — as early as 2011.”

This information was reportedly circulated among gay advocacy groups “to show the chain’s willingness to change.” Mr. Cathy denied charges that Chick-fil-A had capitulated to the homosexual agenda, declaring, “Chick-fil-A made no such concessions, and we remain true to who we are and who we have been.”

However, Chick-fil-A also released a statement saying that “our sincere intent has been to remain out of this political and social debate…” If only leftist corporations and organizations were so accommodating.

In the six years since this initial dust-up between Chick-fil-A and the LGBT tyrants, and in spite of the relative silence from the chicken sandwich giant on the highly important matters of marriage and family, the left’s hatred for the Christian-owned business has not abated. Whether it’s in the pages of The New Yorker, on the Huffington Post, on the campuses of a growing list of leftist-dominated colleges or universities (and even high schools), or out of the mouths of totalitarian-minded liberals, the hate-filled, intolerant left continues to attack Chick-fil-A.

In other words, it makes little difference whether Christians (or those like-minded)—in fast food (chicken or pizza), photography, baking, floral design, sports, bathrooms, schools, hospitals, or even homes or churches—are vocal about the truth on marriage, family, sex, gender, and so on, the left is already bent on vengeance.

What’s more, those corporations, small businesses, schools, “churches,” and the like, who’ve aligned themselves with the perverse LGBT agenda are rarely hesitant to let it be known loudly and proudly where they stand on sex, marriage, and the family. Virtually all of corporate America and the government schools have, in one way or another, sold their soul on these grave matters.

And like it or not, part of this fight is political. In spite of losing the electoral battle on marriage—in a landslide—the left fought on and eventually—as is so often the case in such things—got the court victory they lusted after. Because they have made a god of government, the principle instrument for the left to spread its corrupt worldview is politics; thus, we must fight in the political realm.

We are far past the moral crossroads Al Mohler referenced several years ago. There is no room for compromise, and there is little to no opportunity for silence. If high-profile Christian business owners, athletes, entertainers, politicians, pundits, pastors, and so on won’t boldly and loudly stand for the truth on something as fundamental as marriage and the family, what can they be trusted to stand for? To whom much is given, much is required.

Again, marriage is the oldest institution in the history of humanity—older than God’s covenant with the nation of Israel, older than The Law, older than the church. Marriage is one of the earliest truths revealed by God. If anything is true, marriage as the union of one man and one woman is true. On this, there can never be compromise, and there should never be silence.

Will Liberals Stand for the “Right” to Plantation Weddings?

It seems that Jordan A. Maney is not as committed to “diversity” and “love” as she would have us believe. Recently, Ms. Maney, the black owner of a San Antonio event planning business, “All The Days Event Co.,” got a bit upset when she was asked to plan the wedding for a couple whose chosen venue contained the word “plantation.”

Here’s the exchange as reported by ATTN:

As ATTN also notes, Maney also told the inquiring customer on the receiving end of her discrimination, “You’re having a wedding at a grave-site essentially. How are you going to laugh and celebrate on so many people’s blood, and sweat, and suffering?” Of course, built in 2011, strictly for the purpose of hosting weddings, Kendall Plantation has never had anything to do with slavery. Yet, like many who are so easily offended in these sensitive times, the mere mention of “plantation” was enough to rile Ms. Maney.

Furthermore, after rejecting her plantation client, Maney went to her Facebook page, and in a post that is no longer available, declared (yes, in all caps):

“DON’T CALL MY BLACK-OWNED BUSINESS ASKING ME TO PLAN YOUR PLANTATION WEDDING.”

Now imagine for a moment the tables were turned. At the bottom of the homepage of All The Days Events’ website is a cute little logo:

The logo, which is also a link, is an indication of an “LGBTQ-Friendly Wedding Vendor.” Additionally, the blog on Ms. Maney’s business website has a recent post entitled “Honey, Marry Whoever You Want.” (I guess, just not wherever you want.) What if Kendall Plantation wants nothing to do with planners like Maney and her “progressive” values? What if Kendall Plantation—like so many other small businesses across the U.S.—wants nothing to do with the LGBT agenda? What if they publicly declared, in all caps:

DON’T CALL MY CHRISTIAN-OWNED BUSINESS ASKING US TO HOST YOUR HOMOSEXUAL “WEDDING.”

How quickly do you think the lawsuit would be filed? How long before the media caught wind and sought to make an example out of another “bigoted” Christian?

As most of us well know, many Christians—especially those in the wedding industry—have effectively declared that they refuse to participate in the immoral act of same-sex “weddings.” (My wife and I have encouraged all Christians to take a stand for biblical marriage.) As a result, the list of Christians who have been targeted by the homosexual gestapo and their allies in the Democrat Party, the media, and the judiciary is long and growing longer.

As long as same-sex “marriage” has the force of law, Christians will continue to be targets of those who seek revenge upon the defenders of biblical marriage—what used to be known simply as “marriage.” What if a photographer, a florist, or a baker in the blog of his business website declared that marriage is only the union of one man and one woman? How long would it be before a couple of lesbian or homosexual activists made them a target? As we have well seen, and as we were warned, “live and let live” is not a hallmark of the homosexual agenda. Yet, no doubt that is exactly how Ms. Maney expects to be treated.

In fact, she probably imagines her position to be the morally superior one. Someone should ask her, upon what moral code she bases her unwavering business stance. However lacking I find Ms. Maney’s moral position to be, I also think she has a clear right to make such a business decision. What is most interesting in this scenario is how liberals—ignoring the necessary hypocrisy and duplicity, which is often very easy for most of them—will defend her, if it even comes to that.

This episode has received little media attention, and I’ll be surprised if it goes much beyond that. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC)—the largest newspaper in Georgia—on Thursday, April 6, did have a sympathetic article on Ms. Maney and her decision prominently placed on the homepage of their website. The piece began, “A black San Antonio-based event planner is speaking out against the racial undertones connected with plantation weddings.” Almost certainly the aim of the piece was to cast “plantation weddings” in a bad light and Ms. Maney as the gallant crusader standing against such wickedness.

The similarities between Ms. Maney’s decision and those of Christians who’ve declined wedding services to same-sex couples seemed lost on the AJC author. Unless they are forced to see the similarities, virtually every liberal in the media, the courts, and the Democrat Party will be just as blind. The hypotheticals that wise defenders of Christian small-business owners have presented—a black baker refusing to cater for the KKK or a Jewish florist refusing to decorate for Nazis—are no longer mere hypotheticals. What say you, liberals?
