MORE EVIDENCE That Christians Should NEVER Vote for Democrats!

This is from David Strom at HotAir

Democrats are looking under the couch cushions for votes, so a new PAC has come up with a sure-fire strategy for harvesting a few: advertise on pornographic sites.

Pornography [tragically] is ubiquitous, so no doubt you will reach a lot of male voters this way. I doubt that the ones searching for heterosexual pornography will flock to Kamala Harris, though. Perhaps the PAC should consider limiting its expenditures to so-called "sissy" porn since that's who rolls with them.

I'm not, shall we say, thrilled with the normalization of pornography and am absolutely appalled at the celebration of it in the public square by the left. Human beings are fallen, so I understand that porn will always be with us. But it matters quite a bit whether it is kept in the shadows or paraded out in public, and it matters even more if it is embraced and celebrated as it has been lately. The left now encourages children to participate in sexually-charged events. ...
The Democratic Party now mocks any and all things sacred because they compete with and challenge their one sacred rite: sexual liberation. That's why Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (and Harris campaign co-chair) didn't think twice about mocking the Eucharist, playing a dominatrix priestess giving a Dorito communion to a sexual acolyte after doing a podcast about abortion.

...We have made progress waking people up. Ultimately, it will be the Democrats themselves who convince ordinary people to leave their party. It takes a lot to rewire a person's perceptions. But the Democrats are working hard to build the porn coalition, and most people don't want to be part of that.

I hope most Americans don't want to be a part of the "porn coalition," but I have my doubts. I sure hope that proves to be the case with this election.

Of Course Joe Biden Won the Rigged Democrat Primaries

In an effort to stave off the calls for him to drop out of the race for U.S. President, in a letter to congressional Democrats, Joe Biden boldly declared,

We had a Democratic nomination process and the voters have spoken clearly and decisively. I received over 14 million votes, 87% of the votes cast across the entire nominating process. I have nearly 3,900 delegates, making me the presumptive nominee of our party by a wide margin.

This was a process open to anyone who wanted to run. Only three people chose to challenge me…

As a follow-up to that letter, on Monday morning, July 8, Biden called in to one of his favorite Democrat shills, Morning Joe, and told Joe Scarborough and his meager audience,

Well look — Democrats — Joe, let me say it this way, the reason I’ve been on the road so much, all over the country, while Trump is riding around in a golf cart, filling out his golf cart before, golf cart before he even hits the ball — but anyway, he hasn’t been anywhere in 10 days, I’ve been all over the country, No. 1. And I’ve gone over the country for several reasons, one, to make sure my instinct was right about the party still wanting me to be the nominee. And all the data, all the data shows that the average Democrat out there who voted, 14 million of them who’ve voted for me, still want me to be the nominee, No. 1. [Empasis mine.]

In other words, Joe Biden is telling his Democrat critics to “back off” because he won. And he’s not wrong! As Mary Rooke at the Daily Caller points out,

All fifty states have voted in party primaries. The Democrats chose President Joe Biden, and the Republicans voted in former President Donald Trump as their candidate. At this point, while still an important part of the official process, the party conventions are merely a formality. But that is not stopping the Democrat Party from attempting a coup against its voters to install their preferred candidate, who is no longer Biden.

Yes, Joe Biden won the 2024 Democrat primaries. However, what he is—and most others are—failing to point out is that he won a largely rigged process. As early as February of 2023, astute observers of the political scene were aware of the Democrat Party’s efforts to ensure it was Joe Biden who was their nominee for the 2024 election. On February 5, 2023, the Editorial Board of The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), penned “Rigging the Primaries for Biden.” They wrote,

The Democratic National Committee voted Saturday to revise the party’s nominating calendar to put South Carolina first in line, upending a half century of tradition. The Iowa caucuses, which have been first since 1972, will be relegated to the back of the bus. After South Carolina’s primary on Feb. 3, 2024, the new order will be: New Hampshire and Nevada both on Feb. 6, followed by Georgia on Feb. 13 and Michigan on Feb. 27.

All of this is being done at the request—please don’t say orders—of the Biden White House. South Carolina rescued Mr. Biden’s candidacy in 2020 from defeat by Bernie Sanders, and black voters in that state and Georgia make up a large part of the Democratic electorate and Mr. Biden’s core support. Michigan’s primary was held on March 10 in 2020 and is another state where he won.

The DNC pushed Iowa and New Hampshire back in their primary calendar because those two states were perceived as likely not giving Biden necessary political momentum. As the WSJ put it,

The main benefit of the early New Hampshire and Iowa contests is that they give voters a chance at close-up vetting, and they give long-shot candidates a chance to elevate an issue or emerge from obscurity. The winners don’t always go on to be nominated, much less take the White House, but they are a different kind of candidate test than debates and TV advertising.

The risk for Democrats is that by greasing the wheels for Mr. Biden they will miss such a signal from the electorate. The polls are showing that even most Democrats prefer another nominee in 2024.

In June of 2023, ABC News wrote a piece detailing how Democrats were going to keep Biden from primary debates. Former CEO and co-founder of Twitter (now X) Jack Dorsey was quoted as saying, “Open the Democrat primaries and debates. This isn’t fair to anyone.” The same ABC News piece also noted, “When asked by Politico in August 2022 about how they might deal with a primary challenge, DNC executive director Sam Cornale put it bluntly: ‘We're with Biden. Period.’”

So as early as 2022, the DNC had made up its mind about Biden. Just this week, NBC chief political analyst Chuck Todd said that a “senior cabinet member” told him two years ago that they don’t think Biden can continue as President. Two years ago was 2022. The DNC had to have had this information as well, or they sure should have! Yet, they chose to go with Joe Biden.

In September of 2023, liberal publication Vox felt the need to explain “Why Biden isn’t getting a credible primary challenger.” Also in September of 2023, for the WSJ, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wrote “The Democratic Party Rigs the Primaries.” In January of 2024, The Washington Post (see here to avoid a paywall) ran “How the DNC challenger-proofed the primaries for Biden” by Jim Geraghty.

There were significant accusations in 2020 as well that the Democrat Party rigged their primaries to favor Joe Biden. Now just who is it that is the real “threat to democracy” in America?! The Democrat Party has no one to blame but themselves when it comes to the position they are now in with Joe Biden. Though they regularly hail themselves as “defenders of democracy,” it should come as no surprise that the political party who has little issue with election rigging now wants to engage in more election tampering and install a chosen candidate to replace Joe Biden.

And never forget, the cover-up of Joe Biden’s significant health issues by the drive-by media is also a means of election rigging. The drive-bys also share the blame for a mentally and physically disabled man now serving as President of the United States.

Debate Night, 2024: Trump's Real Advantage is Biden's Incompetence

"You can't fix stupid," the saying goes, but, I would add, you sure can beat it in a debate! I don't mean to imply here that Trump is going to win tonight's debate merely because Joe Biden is a not-very-smart individual, though President Biden has never been widely regarded as a particularly smart man. Recall that his 1988 presidential campaign was derailed in-part because he lied about his academic prowess/credentials. Smart people don't need to lie to try and convince you they're smart.

What's more, Biden has had a near five decade political career to prove himself smart. It's safe to say that he's failed in that effort. Though, with democrat voters, he has proven himself electable!

Trump is almost certain to win tonight's CNN presidential debate, not only because of Biden's mental shortcomings, but rather because of Joe Biden's repeated incompetence as a politician. And repeated incompetence simply makes one appear not very smart. Add to that Biden's age, clear frailty, and poor speech habits, and it becomes even more clear that Joe Biden seems wildly overmatched when it comes to holding his own in a debate against most any capable politician. But, back to his incompetence.

The list of Joe Biden's political incompetence is quite long, especially from his time as U.S. President. On everything from the economy and inflation to immigration policy, energy policy, foreign policy, education policy, crime, and Title IX, Joe Biden has failed to produced competent results. Thankfully, the results he has produced are quite unpopular with the American people.

As noted recently by Gallup, immigration and economic issues (the economy in general and inflation) are the top issues when it comes to the "most important problem" facing America today. Gallup pre-debate polling released just today reveals that, by a 12 point margin (49% to 37%) Americans say they agree with Trump over Biden on "issues that matter most" to them. A headline in today's released Gallup polling tellingly declares, "Six in 10 Americans Disagree With Biden on Key Issues."

Gallup's polling piece released today is entitled "Age, Issues Working to Trump's Advantage Pre-Debate." The "issues" aren't merely working in Trump's advantage because of the current mood of Americans, but rather, the "issues" are to Trump's advantage because Joe Biden has simply shown himself unable to produce sound results when it comes to these "issues."

The "Rigged Election" Video Democrats and YouTube Don't Want You to See

The "election denying" hypocrisy in the American media and the Democrat Party is blatant, widespread, and downright embarrassing! The video below--which YouTube has demonitized--well illustrates why this is the case:

Excellent Political Ad on Democrat Extremists

Below is an ad running against Democrat Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer. However, the ad well summarizes why NO democrat should win in the 2022 midterms. It's also well illustrates how the corrupt mainstream media in the U.S. has aided and abetted the democrats.

2020 Election Fraud vs. 2016 Russia Collusion: Another Tale in Media Hypocrisy

Just two days after Donald J. Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the race for President of the United States, The Washington Post ran a piece with the headline, “Moscow had contacts with Trump team during campaign, Russian diplomat says.” The first two paragraphs of the article state,

Russian government officials conferred with members of Donald Trump’s campaign team, a senior Russian diplomat said Thursday, a disclosure that could reopen scrutiny of the Kremlin’s role in the president-elect’s bitter race against Hillary Clinton.

The statement came from Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, who said in an interview with the Interfax news agency that “there were contacts” with the Trump team.

Likewise, on the same day, Reuters reported the same, and added,

The Federal Bureau of Investigation opened a preliminary inquiry in recent months into allegations that Trump or his associates might have had questionable dealings with Russian people or businesses, but found no evidence to warrant opening a full investigation, according to sources familiar with the matter. The agency has not publicly discussed the probe.

Of course we now know that this was the beginnings of the foolish Trump-Russia-collusion narrative that was meant to end the Donald Trump presidency. Despite little more to go on than a fake dossier, liberal delusions, and a hatred of the truth (this is why they hate Trump and his supporters), for years the media shamelessly and falsely attempted to link Trump to the Russians. Gallons of ink, countless hours of television reports, millions of words, and a mountain of webpages were devoted to this evil effort.

In spite of all of this, along with an unnecessary Special Counsel investigation, Trump was exonerated. As Peter Van Buren put it,

Robert Mueller did not charge any Americans with collusion, coordination, or criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. The special counsel also considered whether members of the Trump campaign “coordinated,” a much lower standard defined as an “agreement, tacit or express,” with Russian election interference activities. They did not.

Everything—everything—else we have been told since the summer of 2016 falls, depending on your conscience and view of humanity, into the realm of lies, falsehoods, propaganda, exaggerations, political manipulation, stupid reporting, fake news, bad judgment, simple bull, or, in the best light, hasty conclusions.

Undeterred by the facts, many in the media—and thus, many like-minded Americans—still insist that Trump-Russia collusion was a real thing. Wikipedia even has an extremely lengthy page devoted to the supposed “Russian interference” in the 2016 presidential election. Hoping to capitalize on this delusion, democrats even perpetuated a baseless impeachment of President Trump.

Fast-forward to the fall of 2020 and Trump’s re-election bid. In one of the strangest and closest elections in U.S. history, and despite the existence of plenty of evidence of election fraud (much of it chronicled on my site)—which could potentially alter the results of a presidential election (an unprecedented occurrence)—the media has largely pretended that the fraud is non-existent.

Thus, they want Trump and his 70+ million supporters to shut up and go home. CBS’s Major Garrett well epitomizes the mainstream media’s views on this matter:

It goes against our history, it goes against good governance, and the longer it goes, the deeper it will create divisions in this country about what actually happened in this election, and the president and the Republicans who stand with him will have to bear the responsibility for whatever comes from that…Every sensible Republican on Capitol Hill knows that in his or her heart of hearts. And their mute testament and loyalty to the President will only serve to encourage him to resist was inevitable, the transition of power, and history will judge them harshly.

Where was Garrett and his ilk when the phony Steele dossier was being discussed for months? Where were they on the sham of an impeachment?! A sitting U.S. President was on trial in the U.S. Senate based on a proven fake scandal—in other words Major, what “actually happened” in the 2016 election was ignored by democrats and their allies—yet I don’t recall anyone at CBS concerned with democrats “bearing responsibility” for their foolish efforts, or declaring that history would judge them harshly!

There are multiple lawsuits over voter fraud, hundreds of affidavits filed detailing thousands of incidents of voter fraud, multiple accusations of suspicious vote totals involving suspect vote-counting software, and recounts in the works. Yet, team Biden seems certain that their perpetual basement dweller is indeed the President-elect. And, as was the case in the Trump-Russia collusion delusion, a like-minded media is completely content to allow this charade to continue.

As Jay D. Homnick notes, this is a bit of a gambit on the part of Biden and his presidential apologists. Homnick writes,

Will the fraud be exposed? That is not yet the question, as long as the media cries “What fraud?” alongside the Democrats. Joe Biden, the man-who-would-be-king, is proudly wearing the Emperor’s New Clothes, noticing nothing out of the ordinary, and the media does not boast a single person of courage to note aloud that the Emperor does not have any clothes at all.

This game can only be played so long. There is one lever that can force the media into noticing there is a problem, and can awaken the Biden legal team from hibernation. That is, the Georgia hand recount, due to begin today and end by November 20.

If the lawsuits and the recounts do indeed reveal fraud that attempted to change the outcome of a presidential election, team Biden and the Democrat Party won’t be the only losers. The mainstream media will be revealed to be accomplices in an unprecedented corruption. Of course, this will only add to a growing list of media malpractice that clearly reveals the mainstream American media to be what Trump has long considered them: The Enemy of the American People. It is they who deserve impeachment and removal from American society!

Ignore the Battleground Polls As Well

It seems that President Trump is trailing in the polls again. In other “shocking” news, it seems that only women menstruate; “green energy” is a massive scam; Trump-Russia collusion was a massive hoax; media leftists hate America; and on everything from masks, to guns, to lives that matter, liberals are hypocrites. As I noted back in January of this year, Americans—especially Trump supporters—should pay little to no attention to the national polls on the 2020 U.S. Presidential election.

Again, such polls are usually not designed to inform us—as they should—but rather to form public opinion. This is true of the polls in the so-called “battleground” states as well. Again, 2016 provides the valuable lesson here.

People define battleground states differently. For purposes of this piece, I’ll define a “battleground state” as a state that was won—by either Trump or Hillary—in 2016 by less than 5 percentage points. There were eleven such states in 2016. Six were won by President Trump (margin of victory in the parentheses): North Carolina (3.66%), Arizona (3.55%), Florida (1.20%), Wisconsin (0.77%), Pennsylvania (0.72%), and Michigan (.23%). Five were won by Hillary: Colorado (4.91%), Maine (2.96%), Nevada (2.42%), Minnesota (1.52 %), and New Hampshire (0.37%).

Going into the 2016 election, according to the Real Clear Politics (RCP) polling average, Hillary Clinton led Donald Trump in seven out of 11 battleground states (Hillary’s RCP polling average lead in parentheses): WI (6.5%), PA (2.1%), MI (3.6%), CO (3.0%), ME (5.5%), MN (6.3%), and NH (0.3%). In other words, Donald Trump won three of the battleground states—WI, PA, and MI—where he (supposedly) trailed significantly in polls done just days prior to the election. Additionally, whether he won the state or not, Trump outperformed the RCP polling average in seven out of 11 battleground states. He did so by an average margin of 3.5 %.

However, since the RCP average is typically only the handful of polls just prior to the election—which are often, and “amazingly!” (hear my sarcasm) more accurate—it is more informative to examine the polls months prior to the election. After all, these are the ones that are used in the nefarious attempts to shape public opinion. Let’s look at the battleground polls that were done almost exactly four years ago, in July and August of 2016.

In the July-August polls reported by RCP, Hillary had a polling average lead in all but one (AZ) of the 11 battleground states. The numbers in parentheses are her average lead at the time: NC (2.2%), FL (1.9%), WI (6.8%), PA (6.1%), MI (6.9 %), CO (8.6%), ME (only a single poll: 10%), NV (0.8%), MN (RCP reports only seven polls in 2016. The average Hillary lead: 7.0%.), and NH (9.3%). In the final 2016 election result, Trump outperformed every one of these polling averages except one (NV). He did so by an average of 6.2%.

According to the RCP polling, currently, Joe Biden leads President Trump in every battleground state poll average (Biden’s lead in parentheses): NC (2.0%), AZ (2.8%), FL (7.0%), WI (6.0%), PA (7.3%), MI (8.0%), CO (only a single poll: 10.0%), ME (10.3%), NV (4.0%), MN (11.4%), and NH (4.3%). Note how similar these results are to the 2016 numbers.

It is also worth noting that today’s media is much more afraid of a second term for President Trump than they were of a potential first term for then candidate Donald Trump. This is why, along with their polling games, we had to endure years of a Trump-Russia-collusion hoax, are bombarded daily with Wuhan virus case counts—which are about as meaningless as the presidential polls—told that we must remain in some form of shutdown mode, and are nightly exposed to scenes of riots and destruction.

Democrats in 2016 thought Donald Trump was a joke and Hillary was a shoo-in. Having seen what he’s capable of accomplishing, even in the face of unprecedented opposition, democrats in 2020 are terrified of giving Donald Trump four more years. Thus, the portrayal of near-constant chaos across America.

In other words, all in the name of getting rid of President Trump, Democrats and their like-minded allies in the media are invested in the continued suffering of Americans. As Tucker Carlson recently put it,

Democrats understand that the unhappier Americans become, the more likely they are to win. Unhappy people want change. It is not complicated. So, every ominous headline about the state of the country makes it more likely that Donald Trump will lose his job. The more that people suffer, the greater Joe Biden’s advantage. Democrats have a strong incentive, therefore, to inflict as much pain as they can, and that’s what they are doing.

Instead of laying the blame where it belongs—the Chinese own the Wuhan virus; democrats own the violent, crime-ridden, riotous cities; the media and the democrats own the Trump-Russia-collusion hoax—the media continuously points their crooked finger at President Trump and constantly attempts to blame him and his administration for virtually all that they perceive is wrong in America. Whether true or not, the polls—whether national or state—are meant to sell the notion that most of the voting public is buying what the leftist media is selling.

And so what if the polls are wrong now? What have the drive-by media to lose? If Biden wins, they will have succeeded. If Trump wins, they can tell themselves, “At least we tried.” Their polls months out from the election in 2020 look no worse than they did in 2016, and however the election turns out, the drive-bys—seemingly never undeterred by failed wrong-doings—will move on to their next evil assignment.

Last, if, like me, you’re a Trump supporter, let none of this discourage you. In fact, let it motivate you, as it does me. I’ve never been more enthusiastic about voting for Trump as President of the United States. In 2016, my vote for Trump was more of a vote against Hillary. That’s not the case this year. And every bogus poll, every media lie, every ignorant mask mandate (take note, corporate America), every business closed, every park closed, every school shut down, every statue torn down, every conservative cancelled, every knee bowed at our National Anthem, every hateful, violent act toward our police, and all other such garbage, only further motivates me to cast my ballot for Donald J. Trump!

Media (Still) Trying to Hide Trump’s Success in Georgia’s Primary (an UPDATE to an earlier Facebook post):

(This is an update to a post that I placed on my website's Facebook page.)

UPDATE: I found this via the Augusta Chronicle (still nowhere to be found in the national/statewide in GA, media): With just over 80% reporting, according to the GA Sec. of State, Trump's lead over Biden is now about 155k votes (~714k to ~561k). Trump has over 40k more votes that all democrat candidates combined. If you total the votes, by percentages, Trump has 51.5% of the vote to democrats 48.5%.

To put this in perspective, in the 2016 GA Presidential Primary, Hillary/Bernie, et al totaled about 761k votes. Trump/Rubio/Cruz totaled about 1.3 million votes. Recall, that the 2016 primary election was on March 1, and it would be months before either party decided on a nominee. In other words, all GA voters had a reason to turn out in the 2016 primary election. Yet Trump will total more primary votes than 2016 democrats as well.

In the general election in 2016, Trump beat Hillary 50.5% to 45.4%. Given that voter enthusiasm is significantly in favor of President Trump--it's highly unlikely that Biden will hold all of that democrat vote, and republican voters will have even more of a reason to turn out in November--it seems that President Trump is on pace to outdo his GA results in the 2020 election.

NOTE: This is IMPORTANT to remember as you encounter general election polls that show Biden with LARGE leads over Trump. (I've already warned about this here: http://www.trevorgrantthomas.com/2020/01/remember-pay-little-to-no-attention-to.html ) Polls are one thing, elections are quite another. As Rush Limbaugh has often said, liberals use polling to try and influence (as opposed to merely report on) elections. The message here (to all Conservatives and ALL America-loving Americans): KEEP YOUR ELECTION ENTHUSIASM! Either for Trump, or against the America-hating left!

ORIGINAL POST: More evidence of our GARBAGE media: Try and find Trump's vote totals in Georgia’s primary election. It's not easy. Most sites (The New York Times, local NBC media in GA, etc.) are ONLY showing totals in the Democrat Primary. Here's (probably) why: According to Newsweek, running unopposed, Trump has 140k MORE votes than Biden (~770k to ~560k) and more votes than ALL democrat candidates combined. This is in spite of the fact that, with a statewide U.S. Senate primary (to challenge GOP Sen. David Perdue), Democrats had more to turn out for.

What's more, Trump's lead will probably GROW as more votes are counted. Additionally, according to Newsweek, "The president also outperformed former President Barack Obama's vote totals from the 2012 Georgia primary. Obama was running unopposed in the state and got 139,273 votes, over 500,000 fewer votes than Trump has received thus far." Just yesterday, NY Times was asking (hoping) "Is This the Year Georgia Flips?" It doesn’t look like it!

The Democrats Deserve Bernie

If nothing else is learned during the 2020 election season, this one lesson must be taught, shared, and passed down through the ages: the Democrat Party of 2020 absolutely deserves Bernie Sanders. Of course, many Democrats will deny this, because they well know that Crazy Bernie is a presidential electoral disaster just waiting to happen. Every caucus and primary he wins or finishes strongly in puts the democrats closer to that well-deserved reality.

Despite their recent effortsMike Bloomberg entering the race, Hillary declaring Sanders a “career politician” that “nobody likes,” James Carville complaining that Sanders wants criminals and terrorists to vote from jail cells, Chris Matthews lecturing the American left on the perils of socialismBernie keeps polling well and winning races. Much to the chagrin of Democrats, whether he wins or loses a particular primary, Bernie is going nowhere soon.

Frank Bruni of The New York Times agrees. He recently warned his fellow liberals, “Sanders will be a major force in the Democratic race until the end. He’s perhaps the only candidate about whom that can definitively be said.” Nevertheless, Bruni and his ilk keep hoping that somewhere “there’s a moderate around whom [Democrat] voters can coalesce.”

Of course, as has long been clear to anyone with a proper worldview, there are no more “moderate” Democrats running for president. In fact, there are few “moderates” to be found anywhere in today’s Democrat Party. This should surprise no one. Having a bunch of leftist radicals duke it out for your party’s presidential nomination is what happens when, among many other lies, you spend decades telling the electorate that they have a “right” to virtually everything under the sun, and the government’s main job is to provide you with such things.

In spite of the warnings of men like C.S. Lewis, tens of millions of Americans are now, or are longing to be, Willing Slaves of the Welfare State. The platform of today’s Democrat Party rests upon two duplicitous notions: 1.) the godless pagan principle of “Do What Thou Wilt,” and 2.) the presence of an “omnicompetent” Big Government that is ready and willing to mother us.

Despite the claims of modern Democrats, such a modern State exists, as Lewis put it, “not to protect our rights but to do us good or make us goodanyway, to do something to us or to make us something.” Something indeed. Lewis concludes that under such a regime, “There is nothing left of which we can say to them, ‘Mind your own business.’ Our whole lives are their business.”

Even without a socialist in the White House, Democratsand other like-minded politicians (remember: Bernie’s not a Democrat)have been practicing their trade long enough to build a massive Big Government beast. Under the guise of “vote for me and I’ll make sure you get [insert campaign promise],” generations of Americans have been seduced into surrendering their “business” to this Big Government.

In the United States, by far the largest employer is government. Local, state, and federal government (including uniformed military personnel) employs well over 23 million Americans. This is more than twice the number of employees of the top 25 private employers in the U.S. combined.

The largest educator in the U.S. is government. About 90% of all U.S. children attend a k-12 godless government school. Over 70% of American students who attend college do so at a state school. Education accounts for nearly half (about 11 million) of the total federal, state, and local government workforce.

The largest “charity” in the U.S. is government (which, of course, brags about it!). Americans gave a total of approximately $427 billion (about $292 billion from individuals) to private charities in 2018. In 2016, Americans received over $800 billion from means-tested (recipients required to be below a certain income level) government programs (housing, food stamps, WIC, Medicaid, and the like). When non means-tested programs (Social Security, Medicare, unemployment, and so on) are included, the total is a shocking and staggering $2.3 trillion dollars.

And of course, Americans now have made health care the business of Big Government. Thus, instead of liberating, liberalism has simply made tens of millions of Americans comfortable in, or at least comfortably accustomed to, their government-made chains.

A man cannot be free unless he has economic independence. As C.S. Lewis put it,
For economic independence allows an education not controlled by Government; and in adult life it is the man who needs, and asks, nothing of Government who can criticise its acts and snap his fingers at its ideology. Read Montaigne; that’s the voice of a man with his legs under his own table, eating the mutton and turnips raised on his own land. Who will talk like that when the State is everyone’s schoolmaster and employer?
Bernie Sanders’ policies would do nothing to promote economic independence, and would massively grow Big Government. Among other grossly expensive ideas, Bernie wants to enact the Green New Deal (GND), make college “free” for all, while also canceling all student loan debtall $1.6 trillion of it, and of course, his signature campaign promise, provide “free” healthcare for all.

None of this is new. Bernie has been promising “free” stuff his whole political careerwhich, as Hillary pointed out, is the only career he’s ever had! For example, as the far-left climate website Grist points out, Bernie isn’t just another “Green New Deal bandwagoner,” he’s “the Godfather of the Green New Deal.”

As John Zmirak correctly noted last year, the GNDa $16 trillion dollar behemothis not public policy, but rather “a delusional wish list, a ransom note pasted together with clipped out words from storybooks and glued in place with bubblegum.” Yet, almost exactly a year ago, the “anti-socialist” Chris Matthews spent a large portion of his MSNBC show Hardball defending the GND.

As NewsBusters pointed out,
Matthews spun the Green New Deal as something no one could possibly object to, ignoring things such as every building in the U.S. needed to be modified or replaced if it’s not up to snuff, while cars and meat would be banned.
MSNBC hosted a town hall in order to make “the case for the Green New Deal.” If the GND isn’t socialism, then Elizabeth Warren is a Cherokee Indian.

Along with Sanders and Warren “moderates” Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg have “embraced” the GND. Virtually every Democrat who is running or was running for president supported the GND. What’s more, this socialist absurdity has 12 cosponsors in the Senate and 90 cosponsors in the House. But suddenly, Democrat pundits are worried that the “Godfather” of this foolish monstrosity is on the verge of leading their party!

Likewise, Bernie has long touted single-payer healthcareessentially “Medicare for all”and, until it looked like he might actually become the Democrat nominee, almost no one in the left-wing media stood up to him. On the contrary, many media leftistssuch as Rachel Maddowagree with Bernie on Medicare for all. When Warren finally joined Bernie in the “Medicare for all” parade, Maddow and Matthews’ network, MSNBC, sang her praises.

According to Vox the reason Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez upset 10-term House Democrat Joe Crowley in New York’s 14th District was because she “championed Medicare-for-all (in addition to free college tuition and a jobs guarantee, among other progressive policies).” To no one’s surprise, AOC was one of Bernie’s earliest endorsers and is one of Bernie’s strongest supporters. To a large extent, Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie, and other radical leftists are now the face of the Democrat Party.

Media leftists, along with like-minded elites in the Democrat Party, have no one to blame but themselves for this. Their decades-long march to the political leftalmost always in opposition to the truthalong with preaching a mountain of so-called “rights” in order to bribe Americans into voting for democrats, has also forced us to debate what is marriage, infanticide, how many genders exist, and who is a male and who is a female. Thus, such leftists should not be surprised that the electorate they’ve so “educated” prefers a legitimate socialist as their presidential nominee.

Why This White Woman Voted for Brian Kemp

In 1951, a white baby girl was born in a small hospital in Ogbomosho, Nigeria, West Africa. She was raised among the Nigerian people by missionary parents—parents who dedicated their lives to ministering to and sharing the Gospel with people of color. My mom’s family came back to the States when she was a teenager, and they settled here in Georgia, where her parents taught at various colleges and public schools. She met my dad in beautiful Cleveland, Georgia when they were both in their mid-teens. They married at 18, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Mom loved Nigeria and the Nigerian people. She considered that “home” for many years after she returned to the U.S. As far as I know—and I’ve known her for 45 years now—there isn’t a racist bone in her body. My dad was a pastor and counselor for decades before he was killed tragically in a DUI in 2015. My parents love people—of all colors and shapes and sizes—and they instilled that love in their four children. My husband Trevor Thomas and I are, in turn, teaching our four children to love God and to love all people as well.

I turned 18 in 1991, and I was excited beyond words to participate in my first presidential election the following year. I campaigned for George H.W. Bush. I made signs at the local Republican Party headquarters to help welcome him to Gainesville on his Whistle Stop Train Tour. I cried when he lost to Bill Clinton.

In the 1996 election cycle, I campaigned early on for a brilliant, articulate, conservative Harvard PhD and United Nations Ambassador by the name of Alan Keyes. Of course he was—and still is—a black man. Sadly, Keyes didn’t make it out of the primaries. Herman Cain and Ben Carson are other “people of color” who I believe would have made outstanding presidents, and I would have supported them wholeheartedly if they had made it to their respective general elections.

In last year’s race for governor, we the people of the great state of Georgia were faced with a choice, though not a difficult choice at all, in my humble opinion—a conservative white man or a liberal black woman. Imagine for a moment that the characteristics had been reversed. Had Stacy Abrams been a pro-life, pro-small business, pro-biblical marriage, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-liberty candidate, and Kemp had been the socialist, pro-abortionist, anti-gun, anti-small business candidate, I would have crawled to the polls on my hands and knees, if necessary, to vote for Abrams.

However, Kemp is the conservative and Abrams is the liberal. It’s as simple as that. It matters not a twit that he is a white man and she is a black woman. I will vote for a candidate with conservative values over a liberal candidate at any time of the day or week or year. I couldn’t care less what color the candidate’s skin happens to be. It truly is what’s on the inside that counts.

Apparently, the Women’s March leader, Linda Sarsour, blames me for Georgia’s recent “Heartbeat Bill,” which outlaws abortion after a fetal heartbeat can be detected. On May 14, she tweeted,
While folks are debating tactics to respond to Georgia’s heartbeat bill, let’s remember that 76% of the white Women electorate in GA (more than white men) voted for Brian Kemp over Stacey Abrams. That’s where the work needs to happen. WW continue to uphold the patriarchy.
Unfortunately, Sarsour’s racist rant here is typical rhetoric from today’s left. I wish we could move on to more important issues that affect all Americans instead of dwelling on such insignificant differences as skin color. But it seems as though democrats will continue to play the race card in order to win voters to their side and gain political power. Since there is no substance to Sarsour’s argument, she is forced to stoop to slimy, deceptive tactics like race-baiting.

So yes, Linda Sarsour, this white woman voted unashamedly for Brian Kemp, and I would most definitely do it again, in a heartbeat. But it wasn’t to uphold “the patriarchy,” as you foolishly proclaim, and neither was it because Kemp is white. You completely miss the forest for the trees when you tout that ignorant garbage. As long as and whenever I have the opportunity to vote for a candidate who stands for truth, justice (for all—born and unborn), and the American way, you can bet your liberal bottom borrowed dollar that he or she will have my support. Red and yellow, black and white, we are all precious in the God’s sight, but some are much more deserving of my vote than others.

Lying Jon Ossoff is Unfit for Office

The most expensive congressional race in U.S. history has again dispelled the myth that conservatives are the aggressors in the moral wars that plague our politics. As Kyle Wingfield of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution recently pointed out, in the race to replace Tom Price in Georgia’s 6th congressional district, it was only a matter of time before Jon Ossoff went after Karen Handel for her brief experience at the Susan G. Komen organization. And like almost every other liberal when it comes to matters involving abortion, Ossoff lied.

The ad uses an OB-GYN corrupted by liberalism—Mindy Fine from Cobb County, Georgia —who falsely claims that Handel “cut off funding for Planned Parenthood cancer screenings when she was an executive at Susann G. Komen.” Fine goes on to say that Handel’s actions in her short stint at the cancer charity as “unforgivable.”

Fine is referencing a much-publicized incident that occurred in early 2012. At that time, Handel—fresh off a failed run for governor of Georgia—was Komen’s newly hired Senior Vice President for Public Policy. In late January of 2012, Komen, the largest breast cancer organization in the U.S., announced that they would not be renewing financial grants to Planned Parenthood. At the time, Komen claimed this was the result of Planned Parenthood being under congressional investigation.

Of course, as they so often do when they sense their “sacred” sacrament of abortion under attack, liberals across the U.S. went full-on donkey-dung crazy (and as I noted at the time, Komen later caved). Most of the blame for ending the grants was laid at the feet of Handel. Article after article, column after column (interesting experiment: do a “custom range” Google search for Karen Handel and Komen for early 2012 and note the liberal outlets that show up) claimed that Handel and Komen were pulling funds that provided tens-of-thousands of “clinical breast exams to low-income and uninsured women.”

Claims of “clinical breast exams” and “cancer screenings” often lead to the oft-repeated lie that Planned Parenthood performs mammograms. This is a lie that refuses to die. President Obama himself repeated the lie on national TV in late 2012. After repeated debunkings by the likes of even the liberals at the Washington Post (and by Handel herself), liberals today, such as those at MSNBC and Senator Chuck Schumer, continue to repeat the lie that Planned Parenthood performs mammograms. As his campaign openly supports the mission of Planned Parenthood, almost certainly the Ossoff campaign is hoping to perpetuate this lie.

In addition, according to various sources, including Handel’s book on the incident, the decision to “cut off funding” of Planned Parenthood was far from Handel’s alone—as the Ossoff ad implies—and had been in the works for years. Komen’s CEO at the time, Nancy Brinker, said, “Karen did not have anything to do with this decision. This was decided by the board level and by our mission.” The Atlanta-Journal Constitution article referenced by the “Unforgivable” ad mentions only internet “speculation” that Handel was even involved in the Komen decision to pull Planned Parenthood grants.

Ossoff’s Handel-Komen lies come on the heels of his national security credential lies. As The Washington Free Beacon noted back in March of this year, “After claiming for months he had five years of experience as a congressional national security staffer with top-secret clearance, Georgia Democrat Jon Ossoff has now admitted that he had clearance for just five months.” This lie helped carry Ossoff into his June 20 runoff with Handel.

In addition to his lies, Ossoff also seems to have an issue with commitment. As folks down here in Georgia put it, Ossoff is “shacked-up” with his girlfriend of 12 years. He told CNN, “I've been living with Alicia, my girlfriend of 12 years, down by Emory University where she's a full-time medical student. ... I want to support her in her career and do right by her.” Of course, “doing right by her” would mean marrying her, but again we see, liberals have long had a hard time discerning what is “doing right.”

As I noted a half-dozen years ago, corrupted by the “values” of modern liberalism, the current generation in America is shunning marriage for cohabitation at an unprecedented rate. As sound morality as long taught us—which Mr. Ossoff seems blind to—such irresponsible and selfish behavior by adults is disastrous for children.

According to a recent study by the Brookings Institution, “U.S. children born to cohabiting parents are twice as likely to see their parents’ relationship end compared to children born to married parents.” According to Fourth National Incidence Study of Child Abuse and Neglect, children who live with their cohabitating biological parents are more than four times more likely to be sexually, physically, or emotionally abused and they are three times more likely to be physically, emotionally, or educationally neglected than children living with their married biological parents.

Unsurprisingly, Ossoff’s “Priorities” page on his campaign website makes little, if any, mention of marriage, families, or children, but he does support the “right to choose” to kill the most helpless and innocent among us. In addition to his campaign lies, when it comes to two of the most important moral issues of our time—life in the womb and marriage—Ossoff fails badly at both. If elected, almost certainly he would support the radical liberal agenda when it comes to what is marriage, what is a human being, what is a male and a female, and so on. Thus, like most every other modern liberal, he is unfit for public office.

Across America, the GOP Dominates (Updated again)

The GOP victory on November 8, 2016 was historical in a multitude of ways. First, a little recap. At about 8:30 Eastern Standard Time Tuesday evening, when Trump took the lead in Florida, liberals started to get uneasy, if not nervous. Just before 9, when Trump’s lead in Florida was north of 100k votes, and he was shown to be performing well in Pennsylvania and Michigan, liberal commentator Peter Beinart tweeted out a “reality check:”

A little after 9, Trump had the lead in Virginia, and The New York Times election data guru Nate Cohn warned:

At about 9:30 Tuesday evening, election forecasts began to favor Trump. Closer to 10, women—and presumably men who pretend to be women (surely they were welcome to join in!)—in the ladies room of the Javits Center, headquarters of Hillary’e election night party, began to check on one another:

By 10:30, Trump was leading in Michigan and Wisconsin:

By 11, Florida and Ohio had been called for Trump and for liberals, full-on panic began to creep in. Around 11:15, North Carolina was called for Trump. Near 11:30, when Ron Johnson was declared to have retained his U.S. Senate seat in Wisconsin, and Georgia was called for Trump, the election projections were overwhelmingly pointing to Trump. As of 1 a.m., according to 270towin, the electoral map looked like this:

For several hours, the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania were closely watched. When Pennsylvania was called, it was over. Upon his inauguration, Donald Trump will become the 45th President of the United States. In addition to Trump’s historic victory, republicans also had strong showings in the U.S. House and Senate races. For months Democrats were given a better than even chance of taking control of the U.S. Senate. Republicans had to defend 24 seats while the Democrats only had to defend 10. With a four seat advantage, and only two narrow losses, the GOP retains a 52 to 48 Senate seat advantage.

And their prospects for keeping control of the U.S. Senate are excellent. In 2018, Senate democrats must defend 25 seats (plus uber-liberal Bernie Sander’s seat), while republicans must defend only eight. Of the 25 seats democrats must defend, 10 are from states Hillary lost, and four of those are from states Obama lost twice (Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, and West Virginia). In addition, the House is solidly republican.

However, while the overwhelming media coverage focused on the history made by president-elect Trump and the GOP hold on the U.S. Congress, other significant history was being made by the Grand Old Party. After Tuesday evening’s results, a stunning political outcome was revealed: At the national and state level, the GOP will soon control more of the U.S. government than at any other time in American history.

Going into the election, as the Washington Post noted, republicans occupied seats in 31 of 50 governor’s mansions. According to the Post, the GOP only needed to take one gubernatorial seat to set a modern-day record. They took three (with one—North Carolina—still in doubt). Republicans also won the last remaining legislative chamber in the south controlled by democrats: the Kentucky House. In addition, the GOP won control of the Iowa Senate, and per a likely favorable recount, the Minnesota Senate.

The wins in Kentucky and Iowa mean a political “trifecta” in those states: control of the governor’s mansion and both legislative houses. Upon swearing in next year, republicans will control every branch of government in 25 U.S. states. Entering Tuesday’s elections, democrats held the governorship, and both state houses in only seven states. That was their fewest number with such control since the Civil War, when there were 15 fewer states. After Tuesday’s results, democrats now hold total political control of only five states: California, Delaware, Hawaii, Oregon and Rhode Island.

In short, as noted yesterday in The Washington Post, under the watch of Barack Obama and his like-minded liberal cohorts, the Democrat Party has been "decimated."

With Donald Trump getting to nominate at least one Supreme Court Justice (Scalia’s replacement), and likely a few more (Ginsburg and Kennedy are over 80), the GOP has an opportunity to entrench conservatism as never before in U.S. history. My advice: don’t blow it!

Update (courtesy of Townhall): More details on "The Total Destruction of the Democratic Party:"
Republicans today hold 31 out of 45 lieutenant governor offices – with three open-seat victories and two re-elections on Tuesday.

Voters reelected Dan Forest as lieutenant governor in North Carolina -- the first time a Republican has ever been re-elected to this office in state history.
Spencer Cox was elected as Utah’s lieutenant governor, to continue leading in this role in the state, alongside Governor Gary Herbert.
State Auditor Suzanne Crouch was elected as Indiana’s next lieutenant governor, alongside Governor-elect Eric Holcomb, currently the state’s lieutenant governor.
Mike Parson, an Army veteran and current state legislator will succeed Republican Lt. Governor Peter Kinder as Missouri’s next lieutenant governor.
Alongside Governor-elect Doug Burman, Brent Sanford was elected as North Dakota’s next lieutenant governor.
[…]
Republicans will hold as many as 31 out of 50 secretary of state offices after four pickups, with one reelection still pending a final call.
Oregon voters elected Dennis Richardson as secretary of state last night, marking the first time in 14 years a Republican will hold a statewide office in Oregon and the first time in 20 years that a Republican will hold this secretary’s office.
Voters flipped the secretary seat in West Virginia, electing Republican Mac Warner and ousting Democrat Secretary Natalie Tennant from the position.
Jay Ashcroft was elected Missouri’s next secretary of state, winning the seat back from Democrat control.
The secretary’s seat in Montana flipped from blue to red with the election of Corey Stapleton.
Although the race has not yet been officially called, Kim Wyman is in the lead to be reelected as Washington state’s secretary of state for four more years.
[…]
State Legislative Chambers:
Just seven weeks ago, Democrats staked a claim projecting a net pick up of a dozen chambers. So far today, Republicans have flipped three new chamber majorities and brought the deep-blue Connecticut Senate to a split chamber, depriving Democrats of that outright majority. We currently remain at 69 of 99 legislative chamber majorities – an all time record for the party. Results in many chambers are still being finalized.
Flips:
Kentucky House: Republicans won the majority for the first time in nearly 100 years, to now give Republicans complete legislative control in all Southern chambers.
Republicans also defeated longtime Democrat Speaker of the House Greg Stumbo, who had been in office since 1980. Now the GOP holds the trifecta in Kentucky: the governor, state House and state Senate.
Iowa Senate: Republicans also completed a trifecta in Iowa, flipping the state Senate for the first time for outright control in 12 years. They also defeated Democrat Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, chair of the DLCC who had been in office since 1983, with a superior candidate in Dan Dawson.
Minnesota Senate: Republicans gained six seats in the chamber and will take control of the chamber. They will now serve as a legislative partner to the state House, also under GOP control, to provide balance to the governor’s liberal agenda.
