"We Face a New Marxism": Senator Hawley Calls Out the "Religion of Woke"

As noted at Twitchy,

Senator Josh Hawley delivered a fiery speech in which he held nothing back against the cultural rot that has taken over so many American institutions. Senator Hawley calls out the universities. He calls out the media. He calls out the entertainment industry. He calls out Big Pharma. He calls out Target. He calls out Bud Light. He even calls out Republicans who are too scared to take on this culture war.

Most importantly, he calls on American Christians to rise up and lead. Watch:

Don’t Trust Corporations With Your Charity

When it comes to in-person shopping, one of the more frequent complaints I’ve encountered recently concerns self-checkout registers. It seems many people despise using them. I do not. Whether Kroger, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, and the like, I almost always choose the self-checkout station over an in-person cashier. In fact, I will wait in line for the self-checkout even when a line for an in-person cashier is unoccupied.

It’s not that I dislike human cashiers, it’s just that I prefer being in control of the check-out process, and the typical convenience of the self-checkout. There’s another reason that I prefer the self-checkout: I never get solicited by a cashier at a self-checkout.

It seems that retail, fast-food, financial corporations, and the like, are frequently in the business these days of asking their customers to donate to one pet cause or another. If you happen to have to deal with a cashier today, a common method of “charitable” soliciting often goes something like this: “Would you like to round-up your purchase to support ____________ (fill in the blank)?”

My answer virtually every time: “No, thank you.” Of course, this is not because I’m against charity, rather it’s because almost every corporation in America today has proven itself to be quite unworthy of stewardship over a single penny of my charitable income.

In case you haven’t noticed, one of the largest reasons we’re currently in a “woke” war is due to the actions of corporate America. On virtually every moral issue facing the world today, most all of corporate America stands in opposition to the truth. Whether capitalism—yes, even capitalism!—climate change, crime, guns, immigration, abortion, the evil LGBT agenda, and so on, corporate America is almost always on the wrong side of the truth.

As is the case with our schools, our government, our media, and tragically, even our churches, our corporations are merely a reflection of the culture at large. And as is the case with almost any American institution one can imagine, U.S. corporations are so often on the wrong side of the truth because there is a widespread ignorance of what is truth in America today. This is due to the widespread rejection of Christianity that prevails in America today.

Instead of embracing the absolute, unchanging, undeniable truths of the universe given to us by the Author of truth Himself and living by those truths (whether we want to or not), for decades now, much of America—increasing numbers it seems as time moves onward—has decided to go their own way and decide “what is truth” for themselves. In other words, many of us have rejected God as the ultimate Authority in the universe and have decided to rule our own world.

This secular humanist worldview dominates the thinking in corporate America today. Thus, instead of merely quietly and subtly heeding what is good and right, or simply acknowledging a preference to their bottom line, U.S. corporations today are dedicated to nonsense such as the “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) and “environmental, social, and governance” (ESG) scams. Both DEI and ESG are dogmatic rejections of truth that are born of modern leftist orthodoxy. Yet, corporate America has embraced these boondoggles as a means of declaring to the world, “Look at how much we care!”

If corporate America truly cared about the world we live in and the human beings who occupy it, then the likes of DEI and ESG would be quickly and enthusiastically rejected. If corporations truly had the well-being of humanity in mind, they would realize that true charity is—or should be—far more than words or actions that make us feel good.

Additionally, charity is about far more than simply giving to the poor. Giving to or caring for the poor ought to be one of the most obvious actions of a charitable person or organization. Most importantly, charity must be rooted in truth. The most charitable person who ever lived—Jesus Christ—makes this clear. When Jesus healed the sick, fed the hungry, or even raised the dead, He didn’t do this only to satisfy their physical needs—though that is indeed a good thing. The ultimate goal of all of the good works of Jesus was to point people to a magnificent spiritual truth.

In other words, the ministry of God—feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, healing the sick (things often deemed as “charitable”)—should never be separated from the message of God—to repent of our sin and believe that Jesus was who He claimed to be: the Son of God and the Savior of the world. The ministry of God and the message of God—both together complete the mission of God. In other words, any sound charity should ultimately help complete the mission of God.

Thus, even if a corporation is doing what seems like legitimate charitable work, or even if it has ties to what many conclude are legitimate charitable organizations, given the current track record with the truth that is prevalent in corporate America today, I will not trust corporations with my charitable income. Instead, I choose to do my charitable giving directly myself. I encourage you to politely do the same.

Powerful Pro-Woman Ad From Egard Watch Company Shines Light on the EVIL Lies of the Transgender Movement

In a response to "woke corporate America," and declaring themselves "a company that believes in truth," Egard Watch Company produced the following excellent ad:

As countless U.S. businesses and corporations abandon the truth for wokeness, it is refreshing to a company tell the truth on one of the most important moral issues of our time. Thank you, Egard Watch Company!

A Prophetic Word on Progressive Wokeness

Given that the idea of defining what is "woke" garnered so much attention this week, Pastor Mark Driscoll, in his recent sermon on "Progressive Wokeness"--(the first sermon in a new series: "New Days, Old Demons: A Study of Elijah")--does a good job defining "woke." This occurs early in the sermon. Here's the relevant quote:

What is referred to as 'being woke' is a demonic counterfeit of being born again. Jesus said that we 'must be born again.' That means being awakened by the Spirit of God to our own sin. Being woke is the counterfeit of that. It's being awakened by demonic spirits so that you will understand that you are a good person and not a sinner, and you don't need Jesus you're your own savior.

Here's the full sermon:

Earth-Worshipping Warmists: Take Note

A good and necessary speech--seasoned with a bit of coarse language--for the ignorant, woke crowd who bow at the altar of "climate change," or "global warming," or whatever they're calling it these days.

Congressman Andrew Clyde vs. Woke Planned Parenthood Physician

Georgia's own Andrew Clyde--U.S. Congressional Rep. for Georgia's 9th district--recently asked a Planned Parenthood doctor if "biological men can get pregnant." Of course, for a doctor who denies the biological reality of life in the womb, it's not too far a leap to the absurd conclusion that "men can get pregnant." Mr. Clyde corrects this absurdity:

Unless brought to heel, the left will continue on this path of evil. And remember, millions of American school-age children are subjected to this evil in their government schools.

Woke Coke is No Joke (and Nothing New)

As much as conservatives in America love capitalism, many U.S. capitalists sure seem to hate conservatives—especially Christian conservatives. On virtually every issue important to conservatives of all stripes, large U.S. corporations (“Big Corp” for this column) stand opposed—almost unanimously!—to American conservatives.

In other words, to the detriment of America and the truth, Big Corp has gone “woke.” Coca-Cola provides the most recent and egregious example of gross corporate wokeness. According to a whistleblower, Coca-Cola is forcing its employees to complete online training that instructs them on “What it Means to Be White” and how to “Try and be less white.”

This racist training declares that,

To be less white is to:

be less oppressive

be less arrogant

be less certain

be less defensive

be less ignorant

be more humble

listen

believe

break with apathy

break with white solidarity …

No doubt this garbage is directly the result of Coca-Cola bowing to the evil efforts of the “woke” army of Black Lives Matter (BLM) and the like. As Al Perrotta recently put it, “Of course, it’s doubtful anybody with any brains in Coca-Cola’s leadership really believes such racist, divisive gibberish. But they do believe the Woke Warriors won’t let them rest until they push this poison onto their employees.”

Thanks in large part to Big Corp, as cities were looted and burned across America in 2020, BLM raked in tens of millions of dollars. As reported last year by Jordan Davidson at The Federalist, Amazon, Pepsi’s Gatorade, Microsoft, Warner Records, Intel, and numerous other members of Big Corp helped to line the stuffed coffers at BLM. Of course, this will do nothing if not embolden BLM and its allies to continue their violent, destructive, and grifting ways. In addition, the lavish funding of BLM will further promote their racist agenda. None of this is good for America.

Coca-Cola is far from alone when it comes to its corporate “wokeness.” Under Armour has also recently come under fire for forcing employees to endure “anti-white diversity training videos.” Long before “woke” and its derivatives entered our lexicon, Big Corp had surrendered to the agenda of the modern left. Decades ago, Big Corp quickly got on the bandwagons of the radical pro-abortion agenda, the perverse LGBT agenda, and so on.

According to very recent polling by Echelon Insights, the top issues for republicans (yes, not all republicans are reliably conservative, but virtually all conservatives vote republican) that are a “problem for the country” are (in order of importance):

·         Illegal immigration

·         Lack of support for the police

·         High taxes

·         Liberal bias in the mainstream media

·         General moral decline of the country

·         Socialism

·         Antifa violence

·         China

·         Legal abortion in the third trimester

·         Election fraud

·         Tech company censorship

·         Discrimination against Christians

Other than perhaps “high taxes” (and even this means something different to individual conservatives than it means to Big Corp) there’s not an issue in this list that Big Corp has taken a stand on that is favorable to conservatism. For example, “Corporate Supremacists”—as Brian Schuster described them in 2018—“love mass immigration.” What he means is they love illegal immigration. One reason for this is, as Schuster put it,

A steady stream of immigrants means a steady stream of competition for jobs. Workers generate profit for multinational corporations, and the cheaper a company’s labor costs are, the more profit is left over for the corporate supremacists at workers’ expense.

Just after the 2020 Presidential Election, the New York Post reported that “Big Tech” began lobbying the incoming Biden administration to “reverse President Trump’s stricter immigration policies.” According to the Post, “rescinding Trump’s [immigration] actions is the industry’s top priority next year.”

Media corporations that are part of Big Corp are the main reason that conservatives are concerned about “liberal bias in the mainstream media.” Because this bias helps to further the left’s agenda, other members of Big Corp play along. In fact, in attempts to censor conservatives, many of them have sometimes engaged in advertising boycotts.

Tragically, hundreds of members of Big Corp—including Amazon, Apple, AT&T, Best Buy, Capital One, Chevron, Citigroup, Coca-Cola, Dell, Delta Airlines, Dominos, E-TRADE, Food Lion, General Motors, Google, Hershey, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Kellogg, MasterCard, Mattel, Microsoft, Netflix, Nike, PepsiCo, Sony, Starbucks, Target, Texas Instruments, Uber, and many others—have thrown their support behind the evil—and misnamed—“Equality Act.” Thanks to democrat control and the support of Big Corp, this abomination recently passed the U.S. House. Perhaps more than any other collection of words in recent history, the “Equality Act” epitomizes the “general moral decline” of America.

As many others have already noted, the evil “Equality Act” promotes anything but “equality.” Among other disastrous consequences, if the “Equality Act” becomes law, it would make criminals out of those who live according to the biblical (and biological) view of who is a male and who is a female; it would gut religious liberty and compel speech; it would ruin women’s and girls’ sports; it would endanger women and girls; it would allow for children to be taken from their parents, and so on. Yet Big Corp finds all of this not only acceptable, but necessary.

Clearly these “woke” corporations have forgotten their foundations and forgotten what allows for their continued existence and prosperity. They have forgotten—or choose to ignore—that they could only have prospered as they have in the United States of America. Most importantly, they have forgotten God and His law. As I point out in The Miracle and Magnificence of America, the United States is the world’s most enduring constitutional republic and the world’s most powerful and prosperous nation—which has produced the world’s largest and wealthiest corporations—because our Founders rightly feared God and dually embraced the principles of Christianity and free market capitalism (as espoused by Adam Smith in The Wealth of Nations).

Many liberals in America—including many now in D.C. —would’ve long ago shredded the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution endures because it is worth conserving, and from the beginning of this great nation, conservatives in America have long understood that fact. If anything is worth conserving it is those things that have been settled for all time, and more than any other governing document written by mankind, the U.S. Constitution embraces this notion.

Again, to the great detriment of America (or any nation) “wokeness” is a war on the truth. Like individuals, corporations embrace this deadly ideology because they ignore God and go their own way. As has been the case for all time, if we want this to change, we need revival and repentance in our corporate boardrooms.
