Remember When the Left Trumpeted Secession?

Because they are devoted to a theology of self, the hypocrisy of the left is almost as consistent as clockwork. The most recent case in point is the issue of secession in the United States of America. On December 9, Rush Limbaugh’s “Official Program Observer, Mr. Snerdley” asked Mr. Limbaugh, “Are we ever gonna be able to win again?” In his reply, which he based on what he was reading from “a lot of bloggers,” Rush went into how he thought America was “trending toward secession.”

Almost immediately, the left went berserk and wrongly accused Rush of advocating for secession. Geraldo Rivera said Limbaugh’s words were “reckless” and “irresponsible” and even implied that Limbaugh was guilty of “treason.”

Of course there was none of this hyperbole in November of 2016, when The New York Times—a mere two days after Trump’s election!—published an article that discussed secession talk out of California (“Calexit”) and Oregon in very favorable terms. One day after Trump’s election in 2016, NBC News also ran a piece on California and secession, with a similar sympathetic tone. Scan the internet in November and December of 2016 and you’ll find that these two leftist publications were far from alone when seriously and sympathetically discussing the secession of California.

In 2018, New York magazine’s website Intelligencer published a lengthy piece detailing what a divided United States might look like, complete with a map and numerous data from the “Blue Federation,” the “Red Federation,” and the “Neutral Federation.” In September of this year, The Nation did a long and fawning interview with leftist Richard Kreitner, a secession apologist.

In March of 2017, in a column entitled “Liberals’ New Separation Anxiety,” National Review’s Jim Geraghty noted that “Since Trump’s election, secession is all the rage on the left.” In the piece he pointed out that “Talk of state independence has cropped up in Vermont, Oregon, and Washington.”

And recent talk of secession isn’t limited to the Trump era. After George W. Bush beat John Kerry for the U.S. Presidency in 2004, a headline in The Washington Times read “Blue states buzz over secession.” The article declared,

One popular map circulating on the Internet shows the 19 blue states won by Sen. John Kerry — Washington, Oregon, California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Maryland and the Northeastern states — conjoined with Canada to form the “United States of Canada.” The 31 red states carried by Mr. Bush are depicted as a separate nation dubbed “Jesusland.”

The idea isn’t just a joke; one top Democrat says…

Thus, as we see again, what’s good for the left can’t even be discussed by the right. This is the case because the modern left long ago seceded from the truth.

George Floyd’s Death is Not “Normal” in America [Updated]

At The Stream, Josh Shepherd notes that George Floyd is remembered as a Christian “person of peace” who helped perform baptisms on a basketball court. Christianity Today reports that Mr. Floyd “left a gospel legacy in Houston.” By many indications, Mr. Floyd’s tragic death brought to a terrible end the life of a man who spent much of his time helping others. What Mr. Floyd’s death is most certainly not is “normal.”

And by the way, Ms. Owens VERIFIES EVERYTHING I say here, and EVERYTHING I've said in the past (I've written frequently about the foolish, ignorant views of Colin Kaepernick, and the like), on these issues.] 

After Mr. Floyd’s death, Barack Obama issued a statement. In it he declared that,

It’s natural to wish for life “to just get back to normal” as a pandemic and economic crisis upend everything around us. But we have to remember that for millions of Americans, being treated differently on account of race is tragically, painfully, maddeningly “normal” — whether it’s while dealing with the health care system, or interacting with the criminal justice system, or jogging down the street, or just watching birds in a park.

This shouldn’t be “normal” in 2020 America. It can’t be “normal.” If we want our children to grow up in a nation that lives up to its highest ideals, we can and must do better.

Of course, the implication is that America is rife with racism, and it was this racism that led to the death of George Floyd, and such racism is all too “normal” in America today. Few things are further from the truth than this absurd and dangerous lie. In other words—living up to his title of “America’s Chief Racial Arsonist,” as Tucker Carlson recently described him—instead of dealing with the real problems faced by black Americans, Mr. Obama gave cover to the rioters and thugs that looted, smashed, and burned their way through several American cities recently.

When it comes to America’s “racial arsonists,” Mr. Obama is far from alone. Politicians and pundits across the left helped fan the recent riotous flames burning across the U.S. As I noted recently, not long after the arrest of two men in the killing of Ahmaud Arbery near Brunswick, Georgia, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms called the shooting “a lynching” and laid blame at the feet of President Trump. She was given voice for such foolish ignorance by the like-minded leftists at CNN.

Leftists at CNN and The New York Times also gave cover to the rioters and looters by comparing the criminal thugs to those participating in the Boston Tea Party. According to Newsbusters, “CNN Newsroom, sports journalist LZ Granderson seemed to justify the rioting, looting, and arsons happening in Minneapolis and all over the country Friday as akin to the American Revolution. Speaking to host Brooke Baldwin, Granderson compared the violence to the Boston Tea Party and claimed that was a ‘riot’ as well.”

Granderson went on to claim that violent riots are sometimes the way that things get “done” in America. He added,

And there is one other thing I would like to share. There is a lot of people that I've read over social media who say they understand why people are upset but don't agree to taking to the streets and don’t agree with the protests. The Boston Tea Party, despite its name, was not a party. It was a protest. It was a riot. What I’m saying is the very foundation of this nation is based upon what is happening right now.

The New York Times’ Charles Blow shared Granderson’s foolish sentiments.

After Mr. Floyd’s death, in an interview with TMZ—fully masked of course, because who knows what one can catch via the air waves—Democrat Representative Maxine Waters accused President Trump of “dog-whistling” to police officers in order to let them know that what happened to George Floyd was okay, and that they could “get away” with such behavior.

The idea that America’s police departments are—or our nation in general is—filled with racism and racists is one of the ugliest—and as we again see, one of the most dangerous—lies in America. Just so we’re clear, here’s the left’s narrative on the police in America: There’s widespread and institutionalized racism inside America’s law enforcement agencies, and black Americans are especially targeted. This racism has led to the deaths of a disproportionate number of innocent black Americans. In order to stop this heinous activity, we need more gun control legislation, more wealth redistribution (usually in the form of some welfare program), more job and education programs, and thus Americans need to elect more Democrats.

So far, there’s been no evidence that racism was involved in George Floyd’s death. What we do know is this: Minneapolis has LONG been controlled by the Democrat Party. At Powerline, John Hinderaker—a Minnesota resident—notes,

The City of Minneapolis has been governed exclusively by liberals for decades. The current mayor, Jacob Frey, who was quick to denounce his own police department, is a left-wing Democrat. The Minneapolis City Council consists of Democrats and Green Party members who think the Democrats are not radical enough. Under left-wing leadership, Minneapolis has been governed abysmally for a long time.

Replace “Minneapolis” with just about any other large American city, and Hinderaker’s claims are still true. Additionally, the current Minneapolis Chief of Police is a black man. He’s far from alone. Of the 50 largest cities in the U.S., 40% of them have black police chiefs (six of these are women), and another 10% have minority (white female or Hispanic) police chiefs. Thus, half of America’s 50 largest cities—including Minneapolis, Baltimore, and Chicago—have a minority in charge of the police force.

The unpopular fact is that many black Americans are much safer in the presence of law enforcement than they are in many black communities, especially when such communities—because of things like the “Ferguson Effect”—have little or no police presence. The statistics make this clear.

• According to the CDC, the leading cause of death among black males ages 15-34 is homicide.
• According to the FBI, the vast majority (over 90%) of black homicide victims were killed by other blacks.
• For decades, black Americans have been more likely to be victims of violent crime (almost always at the hands of other black Americans) than are white Americans.
• Time and again it is revealed: when police stop policing, crime increases, and black citizens suffer disproportionately.
• The most dangerous neighborhoods in America—all with large (usually majority) black populations—are dominated by Democrats and liberal politics.

What’s more, according to Heather MacDonald, a police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black perpetrator than an unarmed black person is to be killed by a cop. In other words, it’s much more dangerous to be a police officer staring down a black perpetrator than it is to be an unarmed black suspect encountering a cop.

One of the reasons the deceptive liberal narrative about black lives is so doggedly defended and regularly repeated is that the truth about the very real suffering in the American black community runs counter to modern liberal dogma. The biggest reason for the rampant lawlessness and poverty that is so prevalent in many black communities is the breakdown of the family.

It has been widely reported for years now that the out-of-wedlock birth rate among American blacks is around 70 percent. Almost always, mothers are left to raise their children alone. In U.S. cities, where the violence and poverty among U.S. blacks is most pronounced, the out-of-wedlock birth rate is even worse. For example, in Chicago about 80 percent of black children are born to single mothers.

Single-parenthood (the vast majority being single mothers) is linked to a whole host of negative outcomes for children, not the least of which is poverty and crime. The absence of a father in the home is the single greatest cause of poverty in the U.S. and also strongly correlates to criminal behavior in adolescents and young adults. With its perverse LGBT agenda and devotion to the welfare state, the left in America has waged a long and tragically effective war on the family.

The destruction of the family, and all the tragic outcomes that result, is a far greater problem in the U.S. than racism. Yet, where’s the outrage? Where are the protests? Where’s the demand for change? If he were still with us, I think that George Floyd would wonder the same.

The Left’s War on Women

One of the ugliest secrets about abortion is that, worldwide, girls are much more likely to be killed in the womb than are boys. This has resulted in an alarming male-to-female ratio in multiple countries. Even the George Soros-funded Human Rights Watch has recently declared that “You Should Be Worrying about the Woman Shortage.”

The piece notes that in India and China alone, there’s “now an estimated 80 million extra men.” Surprisingly, the piece acknowledges that this gross disparity is due to the gross policy of sex-selective abortion. Unsurprisingly, instead of blaming the evil practice of the killing of any unborn child, the Human Rights Watch article blames “gender discrimination” and concludes, “When women lack equal rights and patriarchy is deeply engrained, it is no surprise that parents choose to not to have daughters.” Silly me. I thought the left supported any excuse to kill the unborn.

As most anyone with a proper worldview well knows, along with the tragic deaths of tens of millions of the most innocent and helpless among us, it turns out that the practice of abortion has other awful consequences. As Human Rights Watch notes,

The woman shortage is having harmful consequences in China and sometimes in neighboring countries. Human Rights Watch looked at one of those consequences for a report forthcoming in 2019 focused on bride-trafficking from Myanmar to China. In Myanmar’s Kachin and northern Shan states, bordering China, long-standing conflict escalated in recent years, displacing over 100,000 people. Traffickers prey on vulnerable women and girls, offering jobs in, and transport to, China. Then they sell them, for around $3,000 to $13,000, to Chinese families struggling to find brides for their sons. Once purchased, women and girls are typically locked in a room and raped repeatedly, with the goal of getting them pregnant quickly so they can provide a baby for the family. After giving birth, some are allowed to escape—but forced to leave their children behind.  

There is evidence of similar patterns of bride migration and trafficking in Cambodia, North Korea, and Vietnam, and more may emerge from other countries bordering China. Importing women doesn’t solve the shortage—it spreads it.

“Nothing like this has happened in human history,” begins a lengthy Washington Post piece from last year on the vast male to female ratio that exists in China and India. In over 6,000 words and four chapters, along with detailing the trafficking and purchasing of “brides,” the Post piece also notes the widespread loneliness and depression that grip men who have little to no hope at marriage and a family, and it rightly concludes that the sad consequences of killing unborn girls extends far beyond China and India. Yet, in all that ink, the Post mentions abortion once. Instead of pointing to abortion to explain why there are “Too Many Men,” the Post instead refers to various technologies and vague “policies.”

Just days ago, Breitbart reported on an investigation into 132 Indian villages where, over a three-month period early this year, zero girls were born. In 2016, The Daily Signal reported on a study that concluded that sex-selective abortions are a U.S. problem as well. Nevertheless, again demonstrating that they oppose any restrictions on the killing of the most helpless and innocent among us, democrats across the U.S.—including in a 2012 U.S. House vote on the matter—are near unanimous in their opposition to sex-selective abortion bans.

However, the modern left may have found a way to replace the millions of missing girls the world over: allow men to identify as women. According to current leftist-think, the millions of lonely men longing for a bride and a family should have no complaints or hesitation when it comes to dating and marrying a “trans-woman” (a gender-deluded man who’s pretending to be a woman). After all, men who refuse to date or marry a “trans-woman” would be guilty of “discrimination,” and there’s no place for that in the modern world.

Or perhaps there’s another way to solve the missing female/loneliness problem. Since the left has now decided that men can get pregnant and have abortions, and that marriage is whatever one wants it to be—and thus people can even “marry” themselves—lonely men can simply start a family by marrying themselves and having their own children—including girls!

Never mind that, among other wicked things, the absurdity of the evil trans agenda is literally taking trophies, medals, scholarships, and money away from women. As I warned years ago, whether high school, college, Olympic, or the professional ranks, women at every level of athletics are being threatened by the evil trans-agenda.

Even worse, gender-deluded men and boys invading locker rooms, bathrooms, and dressing rooms pose a great threat to women and girls. Of course, all of this is aided and abetted by leftist politicians—i.e., the Democrat Party—and courts. Thus, gender-deluded men and women continue to obtain political and legal protection for their perverse ideology. As I’ve warned (more than once), as a result of this perversion, real women and girls are chief among those who will suffer the most.

What set the trans-madness in motion was the epic and disturbing 5-4 (take note, John Roberts: liberals aren’t afraid of 5-4 rulings to overturn “precedent”) Obergefell ruling. Many warned of the wide-ranging and tragic consequences of legally redefining the oldest institution in the history of humanity. However, few imagined “married” homosexual couples using women as “breeding machines.”

Thus, and in spite of their efforts to paint conservatives as such, it is the totalitarian left who has given us real-life Handmaids. As Jennifer Hartline wisely put it,

People who are quick to fill social media with images of handmaids in red and denounce the diminishment of women to mere breeders seem to have nothing but adulation for gay men who literally use a woman — her body, time, energy, freedom, health, and her very life — in order to get what they want. These men do not need her as a person. They need her as a gestater, a human incubator. They have no real regard for the irreplaceable value and role of a mother in a child’s life. If they did, they could never contemplate what they are so pridefully pursuing.

Thus we see that it’s leftists who often have “no real regard” for mothers, or daughters, housewives, female athletes, young ladies, unborn girls, and so on. Women—and right-minded men—who vote would do well to remember this.

The Safest Bet: Assume the Left is Lying

When Rolling Stone horrifically flubbed their infamous campus rape “exposé”—to the point that they were sued into requiring new ownership—it was noted that no one should have been surprised that a publication that has spent decades glorifying the hedonistic, misogynistic culture of sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll would botch a story revealing the so-called “rape culture” that supposedly existed on college campuses across the U.S.

Likewise, no right-minded person should be surprised that those devoted to a liberal worldview, where the absurd notion of “your truth” is the prevailing moral position, are so often wrong and/or deceptive. In spite of what you may have recently heard, living life according to “your truth,” in addition to often causing one to be “factually wrong,” also typically results in all sorts of immorality.

The evidence is all around us, every day. Speaking of being wrong every day—factually and morally—Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the “gift” that keeps on giving. It’s quite an accomplishment to set oneself apart in such a way in the modern Democrat Party—the political arm of the American left. Nevertheless, in only a few days as an actual Congresswoman and only a few months in the national spotlight, Ocasio-Cortez has become a most “distinguished” deceiver.

Even Piers Morgan—no friend of the truth—recently took her to task for her deceit. In a blistering attack in the Daily Mail, Morgan lamented AOC’s (“Annoying Overhyped Charlatan” as Morgan labeled her) “inability to tell the truth.” He went on to note her “lying on the record about unemployment numbers, ICE bed quotas, America’s upper-middle class not existing, Medicare costs, and Affordable Care Act payment systems.”

Morgan rightly concluded, “So when she bangs on self-righteously about the importance of facts, it’s worth noting that barely anything that comes out of her mouth seems to actually be factual.” Of course, AOC is far from alone. The modern Democrat Party is littered with lies and liars. This is what results when your party’s political agenda is premised upon multiple falsehoods. The perverse political platform of the modern Democrat Party is a myriad of lies.

For example, there is nothing in the sexual realm with which today’s left can be trusted. They can’t be trusted on life, they can’t be trusted on marriage, they can’t be trusted on sexual behavior, they can’t be trusted on sexual assault, and they can’t even be trusted on who is a male and who is a female. Time and again today’s leftists have demonstrated themselves to be tools of the enemy of all mankind when it comes to sex.

Thus, whenever a leftist politician, pundit, celebrity, CEO, or citizen starts pontificating about matters concerning “four (or more) bare legs in a bed,”—often demonstrating a stunning ignorance of the anatomy between said legs—you know almost certainly he or she is lying. Of course, it’s not as simple as licentious leftists preaching a hedonistic lifestyle and seeking willing converts. Because they have made a god of government, the modern left is all too willing to use the power of government to give their wickedness the force of law. If deception is necessary to accomplish such, so be it. After all, what’s a lie to those willing to kill the most innocent and helpless among us and willing to legally redefine the oldest institution in the history of humanity?

Because the left has made a god of government, anyone in government who stands in opposition becomes a target. The higher in government the opposition, the bigger the target. The bigger the target, the more desperate the left becomes, thus the more frequent and egregious the lies. President Trump and Justice Brett Kavanaugh provide the ugliest lessons here.

The most recent Buzzfeed fiasco is just the latest example of a left-wing media so desperate to get rid of President Trump that there’s almost no “unverified” tale they won’t publish. This is especially the case when it comes to the ever-elusive proof of Trump-Russia election collusion. This political unicorn has led the left into dozens of significant falsehoods, which has led to thousands of fake media reports.

As is the case with abortion and marriage, the left’s lies on Russia and collusion are not mere chatter. The left isn’t content merely to smother the airwaves and the internet with “Trump stole the election!” People are getting indicted, and more often than not, they are “indictments in search of a crime.” As Alan Dershowitz noted after the recent arrest of Roger Stone:

I’ve read the indictment. It’s a typical Mueller indictment. Very, very heavy on stories, stories involving collusion and WikiLeaks but the indictment itself all relates to obstruction of justice, tampering of witnesses. In other words, crimes that occurred as a result of the investigation. 

This is typical of Mueller. He has found almost no crimes that occurred before he was appointed special counsel. He was appointed special counsel to uncover crimes that had already occurred. He has virtually failed in that respect in every regard.

Almost all of his crimes that’s he’s indicted people for are crimes that resulted from his investigation. False statements, tampering with witnesses, obstruction of justice. I went through today the list of all the people who have been indicted by Mueller and it was very hard to find any American who had been charged with any crime that occurred before Mueller was appointed special counsel. 

So what happened here is these are crimes generated by the investigation. It doesn’t make them any less criminal, but it really means that there's been a failure to uncover the basic crimes for which he was appointed. Namely, before he was appointed, was there illegal collusion, illegal conspiracy with Russia? We don’t find that.

The slandering of Brett Kavanaugh during his hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee is one of the lowest political moments in the history of the U.S., and the highest levels of the Democrat Party were complicit. More than one person lied in the evil efforts by liberals to keep Brett Kavanaugh off of the U.S. Supreme Court. As elected democrats pursued their witch-hunt against Kavanaugh, their stooges in the left-wing media were very eager to aid and abet.

Time and again it was obvious the case against Kavanaugh was built upon a mountain of lies, yet the left persisted. From Rhode Island to California, the left’s wicked lies about the “Devil’s Triangle” and “gang rape” spread like wildfire. Because they viewed him as a threat in their unconstitutional efforts to legislate from the bench, Kavanaugh was forced to defend himself against multiple uncorroborated accusations, many of which were proven to be false.

Given that the left will boo God, thunderously applaud the legalization of infanticide; given their belief in “white skin privilege” and animus for anything Trump, no one should be surprised that like-minded leftists would viciously attack Catholic pro-life high school students. The only “crime” committed by the Covington Catholic high school boys is that they are Christian, white, pro-lifers who wear MAGA hats. Yet, even after the original narrative of the Covington students was proven false, many on the left continued to harass the high school students with lies.

A parent of one of the Covington Catholic high school boys who called into Rush Limbaugh’s show is right:

You know, the only thing I can think of, Rush, when you say, “How do people think like this?” and whatever, is I have a strong belief — and this is one of the reasons I love Covington Catholic, the high school. Those who do not have faith lose their ability to reason.

Just prior to His execution, when He stood before Pilot, Jesus declared, “Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” Sounding like someone who’s lost his ability to reason, Pilot retorted “What is truth?” Soon after, Pilot had Jesus brutally flogged and crucified. The modern left long ago decided Jesus was no source of truth and thus remains blind to the truth. Always remember this when you weigh their words.

I Told You the GOP Would Save Money on Midterm Ads

As I noted barely two weeks ago, as long as the unhinged left continues to be-clown themselves, "the RNC will have to spend next to nothing when it comes to creating ads for the midterm elections." In other words, radical liberals will themselves write the ads for the GOP. The recently released ad below illustrates this perfectly:

And there you have it. Thank you Bernie Sanders, Kathy Griffin, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Samantha Bee, Bill Maher, Johnny Depp, "Nasty" Madonna, et al! Of course these fools should repent and turn from their wickedness, but almost certainly they will not. The modern left seems too devoted to the myriad of perverse causes that defines modern liberalism. Thus, the electoral choice for Americans could not be more clear. Again, by whose morality will you be governed America?

Godlessness, Leftism, and the World’s Crapholes

One of the least known but most influential characters of early American history is the industrialist Samuel Slater. My book, The Miracle and Magnificence of America, details some of Slater’s industrial exploits. One of my significant resources on Slater’s life and work came from author George S. White who, in 1836, published his book, Memoir of Samuel Slater: The Father of American Manufactures. I found White’s book to be a fascinating account of early industrial America.

In the introduction to Slater’s memoir, while singing the praises of the industrious Slater—he’s known today as the “Father of the American Industrial Revolution,”—Mr. White also speaks against the “Occupy” fools of the early 19th century:

We envy not those self-styled patriots, whose thirst for office and distinction allows them to deceive and cajole their fellow citizens, by prejudicing them against the talented and enterprising part of society. Thus teaching them discontent, and prejudicing them against the necessary arrangements to promote the general welfare, making them the tools of their sordid selfish policy…

Likewise, and no-doubt aware of the “bickering caudillos” (military dictators) who plagued 19th century South America, White contrasts life in the United States with that of South America:

A state of society, not founded the principles of honest industry, must be degraded and low; and like the inhabitants of South America must be wretched miserable. Mankind must be usefully and honourably employed, in order to be virtuous and happy. In proof of this position, compare the condition of South America with the United States, and more especially with that part of the United States manufacturing establishments have come into being and risen eminence. The mighty contrast in the condition and character of the people, is altogether greater than that formed by the hand of nature in the two countries themselves. South America, particularly that part in the neighbourhood of the La Plata, in the hands of New Englanders, would at once become the paradise of world, did they retain their moral and intellectual habits… 

With governments in distraction, and so enfeebled as to exert no force except by the sword and bayonet, vice, disorder, and confusion everywhere prevail. The finest fields in the world for agriculture are suffered to remain barren and desolate, or to be traveled by wandering herds. Indolence and enfeeble the hands and put out the eyes of the inhabitants. Roaming in poverty, filth, and pollution, they are totally blind to their advantages and privileges: they are tossed about by wind of prejudice and passion. Trained to view labour as a degradation, while trampling the most prolific fields and possessing everything requisite, and of the first qualities, for food and clothing, they would be obliged to go naked and starve, were it not for the industry of other nations. As it now is, robbers and assassins fill their streets, and thousands are disappearing by the only species of industry for which they have an adaptation, that of destroying each other.

Sounds like much of South America today! Or, if you prefer, and as President Trump allegedly put it, a “shi*hole” (or “shi*house”). In other words, what makes a society a literal and living craphole hasn’t changed much in nearly two centuries. If you want to find the crapholes of the world, one need look no further than where godlessness or leftism—often found together—dominate.

Of course, the world’s crapholes are often riddled with poverty. According to Business Insider—and as I alluded to years ago—most of the world’s poorest nations are “under authoritarian regimes where corruption is rampant.” Few things are more synonymous with modern leftism than corruption and authoritarianism.

Note as well how many of the poorest and most authoritarian nations are run by Islamists. As I’ve often noted, the godless false religion of Islam is an enforced religion with a violent founder, a violent founding, and a very violent past and present. Islam is generally repressive to women and to those of other faiths. Islam is typically financially devastating and technologically backward, and thus, has produced many of the world’s crapholes.

Naturally, the world’s crapholes are filled with filth. Along with garbage, human waste, and nasty water, and no matter what list you use, the world’s dirtiest cities are typically also filled with some form of leftism and spiritual darkness. The same goes for the world’s most dangerous countries. And note again that those plagued by Islam dominate the list.

Often accompanying danger and filth is death. Unsurprisingly, the nations with the lowest life expectancy are the same ones showing up on the other craphole lists.

Two craphole-producing products of leftist ideology that, in spite of numerous and horrific failures, still plague the world today are socialism and communism. No matter the specifics of the “ism” or the frequency or the scale of the devastation, modern leftists continue to seek to put so much power in the hands of so few.

If you think I’m being unfair to the rest of the world, fret not. Tragically amazing—given our vast amount of rich natural and human resources—the United States has more than its fair share of crapholes. Almost always these are municipalities where democrats have ruled for decades and where godlessness—typically accompanied by a good dose of hedonism—and leftism—usually called “liberalism” in America—dominate the landscape.

Of course, it’s not the skin color of the people but rather rotten political and religious ideologies that produce toilet-like living conditions. Also, the vast majority of people living in the crapholes of the world are there through little to no fault of their own (except for those who continue to elect democrats) and, in most cases, need the help of others to escape or improve their conditions. The United States can’t import all of those suffering in the world’s crapholes, but we can certainly play a role in exporting what they really need.

The surest way to keep people from living in a craphole is to provide them with liberty, but not liberty alone. As the great Edmund Burke put it when observing the French revolution, “The effect of liberty to individuals is, that they may do what they please: We ought to see what it will please them to do, before we risk congratulations.” Liberty should always be accompanied by the “moral chains” provided by Christianity; otherwise you end up with Detroit, St. Louis, Chicago, or Baltimore.
