Boycott ABC's "Famliy" Network (As It Promotes Child Homosexuality)

We almost never watch the ABC "Family" network (Direct TV channel 311). Now we never will. It has officially been blocked on our TV. In case you've haven't heard, an episode of ABC's The Fosters, which airs during prime time on the "Family" network, recently featured "The Youngest Same-Sex TV Kiss Ever." The kiss occurs between two 13-year-old boys, Jude (who's, of course, raised by two lesbians) and Connor. The homosexual apologists are celebrating.

According to Dr. Michael Brown's piece on this tragic matter, "GLAAD, formally known as the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, stated that, 'ABC Family's The Fosters breaks new ground with Jude and Connor's kiss.' (For those who are not familiar with the show, Jude is raised by two lesbians, his adoptive parents.)

"Gabe Bergado, writing for the Daily Beast, claimed that the kiss set 'a fantastic standard,' one that 'reassures all the real-life Judes and Connors out there that their feelings of self-discovery during those middle school and junior high years are valid.'"

Satan knows well that, if you want to destroy a culture--in this case the most influential Christian culture the world has ever known--you destroy the institution that is at the foundation of every culture: the family. If you want to destroy the family, you strike at the heart of it: marriage. That marriage is the union of one man and one woman is one of the oldest truths in the history of humanity.

This truth was revealed the moment that God created Adam and Eve. Jesus clearly reaffirmed this in the New Testament. When asked about divorce (Matthew 19), Jesus quoted directly from Genesis chapters one and two. Speaking of marriage as a union of one man and one woman, Scripture records, "'Haven’t you read,' he (Jesus) replied, 'that at the beginning the Creator "made them male and female," and said, "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh?" So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.'"

If a culture rejects such a basic truth, it is on the road to ruin. Of course, with adultery, divorce, fornication, promiscuity, pornography, and the like, Satan has waged war on marriage and the family for millennia. In order to make themselves feel good about their sexual sin, the homosexual agenda has been a tool of Satan in the battle against marriage and godly sexuality for decades now.

After all, if marriage as God gave it to us isn't the truth, then what is truth? And if Satan can cause us to question the truth of marriage, then he can deceive us in almost anything. (How many millions have been deceived into believing that a child in the womb was a "choice?") Make no mistake about it, same-sex "marriage" isn't the first perversion of the truth to strike at the family and it certainly will not be the last.

Also, that the liberal dominated media would be a tool of Satan in this battle is of little surprise. One of the main goals of the liberal media is to portray any and all perversions of the truth on marriage and family as normal and healthy. Let us use the media as a tool for truth! 1. One thing I can say for you Trevor is you're as consistent as Pamela Geller, -consistently wrong.

"Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."

Jesus clearly indicates that divorce violates God's covenant with man on marriage, yet I never hear you speaking out against divorce like you speak against gay marriage. In fact divorce is the NUMBER ONE threat to marriage. The divorce rate for marriages at age 20 or older hovers around 36 percent. In spite of this I never hear you encouraging your readers to write their congressman about divorce. I never hear you talk about protests and picket lines at the offices of divorce attorneys. The fact that you would rather address a secondary threat to marriage speaks to your hypocrisy and your warped neocon agenda which does not align very well with word of God. Is this perhaps more theological masturbation?

  2. I guess you didn't see this: http://www.trevorgrantthomas.com/2015/02/happily-divorced.html

But surely you saw this: http://www.trevorgrantthomas.com/2013/08/abortion-and-homosexuality-are-uniquely.html

  3. First, I should say the second and third links you provided on the article: "Abortion and Homosexuality are Uniquely Heinous" do not mention divorce at all.

Secondly, from the first article that you linked: "Happily Divorced?" Quote: "As tragic and as devastating as same-sex "marriage" is on our culture, the sad consequences of such a marriage perversion pales in comparison to what decades of divorce and sexual promiscuity has given us."

I agree completely. Same sex marriage pales in comparison to the damage divorce and cohabitation have done to God's covenant with man on marriage.

Unfortunately, you go on to say this:
"Of course, I realize that many divorces today are necessary and justified..."

Do you mean to say justified in the eyes of the Lord? How does this square with the scripture: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."

My observation stands: You rarely speak of divorce as a significant threat to marriage, -preferring instead to revisit over and over your "go-to rant" about those evil gays and lesbians who only wish for the same rights that are granted under the civil marriage contract. To use a metaphor, you seem to be overly concerned with snuffing out the light of a candle while behind you the house of marriage is burning down from divorce. Compared to the house on fire, the candle is of little consequence.

Therefore, in general shouldn't the totality of all your comments about same-sex marriage pale in comparison to your comments about the damage divorce is doing to marriage? It would seem so, if your comment I quoted previously has any validity.

    1. The second link was to reveal why my time spent on homosexuality and same-sex "marriage" is warranted.

  4. Trevor like all reasonable people (you seem to be excluded from that group) understand that divorce is certainly justified in cases of fraud, abuse and infidelity.

  5. Pardon the delay in my reply. I have been travelling out of state. Taking replies in order.

Trevor, I never said the time you spent on other issues was not warranted. What I said was your devotion of commentary seems to be disproportional in light of your comment I quoted previously, specifically "As tragic and as devastating as same-sex "marriage" is on our culture, the sad consequences of such a marriage perversion pales in comparison to what decades of divorce and sexual promiscuity has given us."

Anonymous: All that I asked was if Trevor could square the notion that marriage can be ended with Jesus' words "Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." Since Trevor passed, perhaps you would like to explain this conundrum. Did Jesus make exceptions for this comment? Perhaps he didn't mean what he said? Questions questions...

  6. Yes, it is a bit disproportional, but as I implied, there is not a concerted campaign behind a "divorce agenda," where the "glorious" benefits of divorce (at any time, for any reason) is being touted and promoted.

  7. Is it more appropriate to mete out your commentary based upon a perceived "gay agenda" rather than by the greater damage even you admit divorce has done to marriage? Are you still fighting the candle flame while the house of marriage burns behind you from divorce?

    1. I just don't think there is much debate about the damage done by divorce.

  8. Trevor, YOU control the debate here. Debate won't happen if pundits like you don't set the agenda to include it. You can't duck responsibility for this trend, you are intentionally guiding the trend. What if Jesus only spoke about trendy debate topics of his own era? What if HE had chosen to speak only on those topics approved by the religious establishment of his day? I think you know where I'm going with this...
